Thank you. I appreciate that. And it wasn't just you. I read a fair amount of comments yesterday. To me it was akin to the olden days of calling a person involved in civil rights an N lover.
And I hope I didn't offend, but it has been bugging me since yesterday and I felt it had to be said.
I hope I didn't offend you Kim. That was never my intentions or to offend anyone for that matter. I'm sorry that it upset you.
Oh goodness I would never say such words and didn't even in the civil rights days. That's horrible. They were innocent people and sure weren't terrorists.
However; as a Christian myself it doesn't bother me in the least when someone calls someone else a Christian radical or fanatical extremist when they are one. I know that doesn't apply to me. I hate extremism in any form. That's why it doesn't bother me and I always make the distinction between radical or an extremist Islamic when describing terrorists only
Now that you mention the civil rights days, I remember seeing a very pretty highly educated black woman on TV a few years back talking about the N word and how it didn't bother her at all because she knew she wasn't one. She said she sure knew they weren't talking about her.
Most everyone I have seen speak on the Islamic terrorist subject always makes sure to emphasize the radical part to make sure they are separating them from other Muslims who are not.
JMO though
