Well, we've got Jodie Foster, we've got Catholics & Protestants, we've got murderous toddlers. What we don't have is an Islamic terrorist killing people in an act of Islamic terrorism, despite telling 911 that's what he was doing.

I've seen so many different posts trying to deflect from what reality is in this case that I've lost track.

I can't wait for the next one.

  • #1,022
OM was saying he was killing for groups that hate each other, just like the Protestants and Catholics hated each other in Ireland. Would it make sense that one would be a martyr for both? I am simply trying to make an anaolgy.

I don't get the analogy,

  • #1,023
I don't get the analogy,

Like the superbowl x is playing y

one time he says he for x team

next time he says he for y team

next time he says he is for z

they have completly opposite world views all the groups he claimed ties with

he was in the bar from 930 till the end

he drinks heavy

probably blasted on (speculation) on the phone to 911

My pc is really lagging but I think what some are trying to convey is that he was playing tough guy (to scare co-workers) and there was found to be no truth at the time to his claims of belonging to these groups.
Was this last act more of the same and in truth what does it matter beyond finding out to stop future attacks if he was telling the truth.

patholgical lifelong liar or would experince delsuions is all I can come up with

but telling people that Osama Bib is his uncle reminded me of clients suffering with delsusions - not oreinted to reality

Think James Holmes the Batman guy who was the Joker

  • #1,025
Is that what you think human meant? I can't understand why Protestants and Catholics would want to kill non-Christians during the Northern Ireland conflict.

I'm missing something.

It was another analogy

. Like telling people one time you Jewish, then later, your Cathalic, then later your Baptist.

Two out of the three must be wrong.

  • #1,026
That is not my point. My point is he was living a delusion that he was some great martyr. Holmes was obsessed with BatMan. It is the same kind of thing. They live in their minds.

We are getting mass shootings every two months now, Why are people so freaked about ISIS when the numerous other mass shootings had nothing to do with ISIS.

Why not be more afraid of the white kid shooting up malls, theatres, schools, etc etc efc. And throw in some old guys too that did some shooting. Why go so freaked out over this one?

The goals of some of these shooters is to get a higher and higher body count. Now there is a new benchmark to surpass.

Somewhere out there is a new shooter planning to right his wrongs by shooting up something else. Probably someplace no one has contemplated.

Ha that is funny. I had not read this post yet human , and I thought I would try the Batman analogy also!!

I am not sure which is my favorite one tho - like father like son!!

Osama his uncle

Or his dad this great terrorist running for president when the country was not having an election

which delusion do you like best??

He just knew or was related to every terrorist in the last 20 years!!

And now, after shooting a 100 people, been up for god knows how long- he worked that day- probably drinking - in high stress setting for 4 hours -with no AC-no food - sweating to death -god knows what his steroid addiction did to his brain- listening to horrible noises all around him -- he says he is loyal to three different groups and then goes and runs into gunfire

and , after years of not knowing what he is talking about , we believe him ??

Delsuisinal thinking

Yes in his warped mind that made him a big shot or at least one to fear. I think that was his true intent. He was a bully.

Two out of the three must be wrong.

But if all 3 of the warring groups that you claim allegiance to want you to go out and kill infidels, and so you go out and kill infidels, it doesn't matter to me that you had some confusion about the specifics of each group. They all wanted you to kill infidels, so that's what you did. It's not evidence that you killed infidels for some other reason.

It's another analogy that just plain doesn't work.

Hmmm that is interesting. He is getting attention so there is that. Like son like father.
Speaking of bed...night all... and be good to one another.

Did ISIS ever claim credit for San Bernardino?

I truly think that many Muslim men like some of the ideas that these extremists present.

Such as having 20 wives. Or allowing your wife to be punished if she seeks another mans attention while you still get to have 20 wives.

Plus the fact that you own your wife and her property once married and whatever else.

So the idea turns alot of insecure men on.

But imo. Once you have sisters and daughters that will be treated the same way.

Then you should have already woken up from the dream of this religious ideal and denounce it.

Especially since your parents would never marry you(male) off to some old lady that lives in a tent. And then have you stoned when you don't want to engage or if you seek someone that you actually like.

Now the female radicals only exists due to the fact that they rather be known as a fighter who will die for a cause that they hate. Rather than being seen as only prey by the sick men who decide their destiny. Jmo.

Also. If the Muslim women were in charge and not the men. Then I bet we wouldn't have any Terrorist attacks. Jmo.

The same with all female leadership around the world.

I just don't see 2 female presidents of 2 different countries deciding to go to war with each other. Jmo.

And sorry for the rant.

I respectfully disagree I feel there are women who are just as evil and possibly more than men. These women a lot of them WANT to be in this muslim religion and like all this stuff. Look at how many women have snuck off to be with these men. Also there have been muslim women suicide bombers. It's not a male and female thing other than the fact that the women are pretty much treated like crap and owned. But apparently some of these women are fine with it. What about the women who kill their own daughters? How sick is that? The woman who killed her 2 yr old daughter because grandpa molested her and she was protecting the man ....No not buying that women are any less evil.

It hasn't been conclusively established what time he first entered Pulse on that Sat/Sun.

The statement from the witness who said he saw him in there earlier is only one account at this point. Until there is confirmation via other means such as surveillance video, I consider it inconclusive at this point. MOO.

Toxicology will reveal if alcohol or drug consumption on his part is a potentially relevant factor.

Regarding "team x", "team y", and "team z."

I think it is inaccurate to characterize their world views as being "completely opposite" one another, i.e. 180° differences.

The degrees of differences are there, but more like 1°-30° rather than 180°.

ISIS/ISIL (team x) has capitalized on the appeal of a dead member of Al Qaeda (team y) in the form of the Anwar al-Awlaki Brigade.

Anwar al-Awlaki was a US born leader of Al Qaeda in Yemen. He was killed in 2011 in a US drone strike.

“I would say his death has made him more popular.”

http://mobile.nytimes.com/2011/10/01/world/middleeast/anwar-al-awlaki-is-killed-in-yemen.html

ISIS/ISIL has no issues with invoking his name and sermons in their recruiting.

http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/isis-what-...gon-confirms-death-groups-deputy-emir-1553849

The existence of the Anwar al-Awlaki Brigade is acknowledged by the US Department of Defense.

http://www.defense.gov/News-Article...2-foreign-fighters-in-iraq-oir-spokesman-says

ISIS/ISIL would seem to be less concerned about any degrees of ideological differences between them and team y or team z than with exploiting a wider al-Awlaki/team y appeal.

Black. White.

Many shades of gray between the two.

Complexities.

Did ISIS ever claim credit for San Bernardino?

The Islamic State’s radio station released a statement on Saturday claiming that two of the group’s followers had carried out the shootings that left 14 people dead in San Bernardino, Calif., on Wednesday.

It was the first official claim of responsibility by the group after days of congratulatory messages posted on Twitter and a statement published on a news forum believed to be run by members of the Islamic State, which is also known as ISIS or ISIL.

In its English-language broadcast, the Islamic State’s Bayan radio station referred to the couple who carried out the attack as “soldiers of the caliphate,” a term denoting members of the terrorist group’s army.

The Islamic State group has used the same term to refer to gunmen who have carried out attacks in its name, including Elton Simpson and Nadir Soofi, who fired on a site hosting a Prophet Muhammad cartoon competition in Garland, Tex., in May.

It just hit me , I never saw an ambulance . know some were taken by private - anyone heard if they staged far away cause of possible explosion??

  • #1,039
When the Sydney Martin Place lone wolf terrorist’s attack was over, Isis released a statement. All of our news media refused to print the statement. As a country, we refused to acknowledge them.
It was enough for us that the assailant plastered Isis flags all over the Lindt Café windows when he started his terror campaign.

(As I mentioned before, it also marked the commencement of our tough new anti-terror laws.)
