The only thing I got out of the supposed transcript release was that he hung up twice on 911.

We all already knew that he claimed to be doing this in the name of ISIS!

There was a total of 28 minutes when he was talking to the hostage guy. That would be very interesting.

But of course media is not asking for that. They got a 50 second release that had no new info!!

Yes, he was born here, but to parents that are Muslim and his father apparently had youtube videos that favored his faith. The complaints against him were extremist Muslim related... which in my book makes this a Muslim investigation...even though he was born here. So from what I have heard from interviews from a former NY FBI director... that was/is off limits. They weren't/aren't allowed to "sniff around" Muslim anything. Those aren't my words... they come from him in a televised interview.

My mother was born in Oklahoma... but her parents were working in Mexico when my Grandmother was pregnant. They rushed into OK when she went into labor so mom could be born in OK in the US. If Grandmother had not made it back and my mother had been born in Mexico.. that would not have made her Mexican or made her loyal to Mexico.

Mateen's parent's were/are loyal to their born country and they believe in their Islamic beliefs, customs etc.... Just because he was born here does not make him American. I believe he was raised to believe something else and revere something else....

And no, I don't believe it was Florida that wanted this sealed up tight. IMO. It was the federal government. The Florida governor etc is republican and he has been outspoken on what he thinks. IMO.

This post respects all political and religious beliefs. I pick no fights with anyone. Just having my say. My belief is everyone has a say and should be able to without being belittled or attacked or dismissed.

Linked earlier Dads little broadcasts were about him hating what Pakistan was doing to his homeland Afganistan. Media played this one like he was making broadcast hating on AMerica. He was not.

It gives us the impression that this guy was being " followed" casue he was important! He made infomericials at his own expense (narcist!) . He would go to a studio, buy time and post. on his You Tube channel! This important writer ,wrote a bunch of stuff and posted it on hsi FB page like billions do everyday!!

He was not all there!! In one instance, at random, he declared himself the president (linked earlier) of Afganistan and issued orders to people in the country! In some broadcasts he would dress up in fatigues and stuff and pretend like he is alike commander of their army.!!

Taliban is problematic with USA. They twisted it. He liked Taliban as it relates to what they doing with relations between Afaganstain and Pakistian . NOthing to do with usa

I agree w you about THAT site, but I heard it stated, listening to MSNBC. Twice. Perhaps the reporter was mistaken.....so go with JULY until further notice. If I hear a correction to his statement, I'll say so. Sorry. JMO

This is so weird. Any chance he thought he would survive the Pulse shooting? Did he have two plans?

The shooting does not seem like spur of the moment.

Maybe CARIIS is right and he was going the shoot someone outside. Maybe he went in to see if his target was there. Or his targets.

None of it makes sense. He said his country" but stretching it, "his" country would be Afghanistan. Had he ever been to Iraq or Syria?

Syria is a nightmare mess. Looking at pics of it are beyond distressing.

It is all a nightmare. People everywhere just wanting to live but becoming victims to madmen and women of all kinds of agendas.

Americans have had a very sheltered life unless they belong to a Marginalized group.

What? I can tell you for a fact that I have not and I'm an American...and I'm not in some marginalized group. Some of us on here have been through some very traumatic events, some things that others may not even want to imagine. I'm not looking for sympathy but that is a broad statement to make.

The thing that pops into my mind is to protect themselves. All of this information and they just turned a blind eye. The more that is known and public makes us wonder HOW ON EARTH he just constantly kept being cleared and cleared over and over again.

That is what it makes me think, anyway. And I have to say I do believe that illegals and foreign residents are given a pass and seem to have rights that we don't have because it's politically correct. If it had been a born American they would have been watched way more intently and charged and imprisoned faster. Profiling has become this monster that is killing us. IMO

Authorities have also determined that the day before the attack, three plane tickets were purchased online for Omar Mateen, his wife and their son to travel to San Francisco next month, according to the source. It's unclear who purchased the tickets.

It's really no surprise that people would try to claim they were there when they weren't. Huge amounts of money are being collected and donated, and just about everybody involved with the nightclub that night will get some sort of a pay out. This guy is most likely trying to get his 15 minutes of fame, and if nobody had noticed his lies, would have eventually tried to be a "spokesman" for the victims. At the very least, he would've had his hand held out for cash and donations from well meaning people. Had he not been exposed, you could've expected to see him on Oprah, Dr. Phil, or Ellen in the near future.

People like him need to be made an example of, and jailed very publicly and loudly.

Have you ever seen the documentary "The Woman Who Wasn't There"? It's about a woman who pretended to be a 9/11 survivor for YEARS until she got found out.

A federal official confirmed to NBC News Tuesday that Mateen made the purchase for his family to travel to Northern California to visit his ailing mother-in-law. Wife Noor Zahi Salman's mother recently had an operation and was not getting better, and the family was planning on spending an extended period of time with her.

The tickets were purchased two days before the June 12 attack to travel to San Francisco on June 14 for two weeks. It's unclear, however, why Mateen would have bought the tickets if he was planning the shooting, only to die in it.

There was at least one other person (a survivor who is/was hospitalized) who reported seeing him inside Pulse earlier (9:30?) on that Saturday night.

CARIIS heard/saw a news report about the witness account early on (perhaps on that Sunday?). I couldn't find it online until a couple of days ago.

I posted it on one of these threads.

Embarrassed to say that I cannot recall the name of the survivor/witness, but I'll look for it again.

The account I read said the witness reported what he saw to investigators.

I'm assuming law enforcement has a pretty good idea what time he first entered Pulse from surveillance video.

This is a young crowd. For this generation there cell phones are like their arms. It hit me as odd that only two cell phone videos have surfaced. So then I tried to do some math!

There is a cover. So I am thinking that the number 300 people had been in there, probalby came from the door throughtout the night.

But everytone who comes does not stay till closing in any bar!

For you guys, the fact that one video is right as it starts, and the other is in the bathroom, there would have to be others in the other rooms. 11 died after getting out.

What I am getting at is it would seem there were some in the other two rooms, that would have been capable of taking cell phone video inside there in the other two rooms after he ran to bathroom.

I only listened to it on my phone, sorry. At least some scanner apps have the ability to record and it looks like some have uploaded audio to YouTube. Try searching there for "Orlando fire scanner". I didn't listen to any so...
