The federal investigation was initiated in April and they moved 500 feet away in May to a rental house. Trying to outrun feds? Maybe thought if he didn’t give them new address and had all mail forwarded to office in CT wife would never find out. Interesting timing, and odd move. Sounds like he also rented a white SUV and parked it at the condo they owned around the corner from house. FBI agent said there was only one car in driveway and he was parking car at other address.

One thing I noticed in 911 call: “She was having liver problems and maybe some other health issues.” Could be a possible slow poisoning. Poisoning deaths usually result in liver failure. Maybe he was trying for that insurance money too. Jmo

I am in CT and there has been nothing about anyone in her own family regarding speaking out or looking for her. In the small obit her family is not mentioned at all. Full obit still has not been released yet. I had also read she was estranged from her mother but have nothing to confirm that.
Hmm. I wonder who made the plans for the memorial.

This is not a motive for this kind of murder.

There is no 'motive' for this kind of murder.

More likely, Tony is a psychopathic conman who has been leading a double life for years, spending money he doesn't have, living a lifestyle he cannot afford, abusing his family in secret for a long time.

Whatever people thought he was, he wasn't. Whatever life people thought they had, they didn't.

I'm not suggesting "that she was gonna divorce me and take the kids made me kill her" is an excuse. Often killers cite this as the proximate cause.

My understanding is that AT requested them not to be read.

Regarding why charges weren't read in court.....

Yep, I'm wondering on what grounds AT requested them not to be read. I'm surprised they can do that.

I thought they said a family member spoke with her on Dec 27? If correct, I wonder what they were doing from the 15th when eviction notice was posted, til then. And when do they physically force someone out after notice is posted? I thought evictions didn’t happen until after months of nonpayment.

I was also under the impression that there is a much more significant time lapse between payment due and actual eviction. Maybe there was a fraud clause in the contract or maybe AT's Medicare/Medicaid fraud became public and the landlord took advantage of the non-payment to evict the family.

I know this has been discussed a bit upthread, but there's something troubling about AT's weight. He seems very obese in his perp shots. I thought he might be on steroids or something.

There's that, and how can you function as a PT when you're that overweight? No comments from patients or employees?

Oh, you know what? I thought that was 2 sisters talking to each other in CT. That very well could be! Jmo
You mean a different "sister-in-law" and not Megan?

It't possible if he has a gambling addiction, he
may also have an eating addiction. Often
"addictive personalities" have several co-addictions (drinking, drugs, food, gambling, sex) and when they stop one they move on to another.

Thanks for posting this. “ They’ve been really sick, I guess they’ve had the flu. They’ve had the flu probably for a couple weeks. They were really down and out during Christmas, the only one we’ve been able to talk to is my brother and now we can’t get ahold of any of them,” the woman said.

*****

Wow. Why didn’t HER family call looking for her at Christmas or call police!? Or maybe they did.

Maybe AT tried the poison route and it was described to the relatives as "flu." It didn't work entirely, so he killed them outright.

I have a feeling the toxicology report is gonna be interesting....

They probably had only a Month to month
lease agreement. I believe in Florida landlord must only give a 2 week notice if on mo. to mo.
So he knew his time in the home was very limited and this would fit with when our local news believed the killings happened, around the end of December.

And why should that (insert really, really bad words here) have any kind of say about what’s read and what isn’t? I know, innocent until proven guilty and blah blah...but he confessed. He’s guilty. I don’t think he should have a say about s**t!! He should have what he did read over and over and over and over again until he draws his last breath. This makes me mad!
Not only that, but charges are public, no? How come they get to be secret in this case?
Since there were photos of the other chargees that weren't blurred out—and therefore they were public— you would think the charges against AT would be publicized without his say-so.
At first I thought the court was concerned about his safety. I mean, the fellas at arraignment didn't seem like they'd make great housemates.
Also, at the arraignment, he looked like the only one who had to stand in a cage? What's that about?

I think, as a matter of process, we should settle on initials for Anthony. We have 2 versions for A right now. How about we go for AT?

I thought I had read that the DA did not want the charges read. Will have to go back and read again.

Edited by me, It was his public defender that made the request not the DA.

Jmo but I don't think there is any indication any longer of any of the "big 3" issues. (Sex, drugs, rock and roll errr gambling). Just from my standpoint, he managed to get himself ridiculously overextended financially due to needing to keep up appearances.

I'm not buying the story that everyone was really sick. I think it may have been something told to Tony's sister in order to keep the his family from "bothering" them.

I agree. I am also on the fence about murder suicide. I don't think Megan did not know anything about their finances. She was a very well educated woman and she worked in the practice until a couple years ago. She may not have known the extend of the fraud if she knew that part at all but I think she was well aware they were living way beyond their means. Maybe they just wanted to live their best life with their kids and built a house of cards which worked for awhile until someone pulled a card from the bottom. Crashes down and lives going into a spiral down turn. I think it was carbon monoxide and possibly kids first and a pact between him and her. Either his did not work on him or he could or would not go thru with it. That would explain them all being in the master bedroom etc. Stab wounds I think were to release the gas bloat from decomp. This is just my working theory at the moment and I could be totally off base with it too. I am still open to she may have not known and he felt he had to eliminate them so she would not find out. To many unknowns at the moment but I do think Tox is also going to be a huge key
