That makes sense. Personally I think it was teenagers who thought they'd get an easy steal. I bet they live very close...maybe the Ocala shores area. They probably never did any crime before. They probably were confronted by her and then shot her. It looks like she surprised them.

I agree. Teens or young adults is my guess. A burglary that went to far. Someone will talk eventually. There is likely lots that LE knows and suspects but they can’t make it stick yet.

I referred to a case earlier that I had gotten confuse with this (Amber Gaddis) and this suspect is a teen who had other charges. I’m trying to keep an open mind here bit it’s hard.

UPDATE

I talked to the sister on the Justice for Melissa page.
She WAS NOT raped. So that narrows down motive.

So far my laymen speculation is:

Surprise burgalry (watching house, thinking no one was there)
Hitman (husband been in jail before)

The sister just told me nothing was stolen either

I think that is what the sister thinks. I mentioned the possibility of the husband being a hitman and she stopped responding. Basically saying Yes.
