Polk County CSInvestigator Lynda Hall testified about what was found with the body. Testimony expected into next week.

Cheyanne Jessie murder trial testimony: Investigators found toy, blanket with murdered Lakeland child

Jessie told detectives she’d had an argument with her father on July 18, 2015 — the last time anyone besides Jessie and her boyfriend had heard from him — and she killed him as he attacked her with a knife he had taken from her. She said Weekly had stabbed her daughter, who was trying to help her, during the affray.

Dr. Stephen Nelson, medical examiner for the Bartow-based 10th Judicial Circuit, testified earlier in the trial that Weekly had been shot three times in the head and Meredith had a single bullet wound to the back of her head. Both of them had been stabbed about a dozen times.

From Tuesday, OH SNAP!

'I didn't do it': Ex-boyfriend of Cheyanne Jessie denies he killed Lakeland woman's 6-year-old daughter and father

During Tuesday’s testimony, Tuomey accused (Cody) Munroe of committing the murders. He denied her allegations.

“I didn’t do it,” Munroe responded.

“And the reason why you did that is because you were afraid when (Department of Children and Families) got involved on the 17th, they were going to find out what you were doing,” Tuomey said, suggesting inappropriate involvement with Meredith.

“I wasn’t doing nothing to her,” Munroe said. “I never touched her the way you’re implying.”

“You would agree that your pornographic history would indicate otherwise, right?” she said.

“Yea, it would indicate otherwise,” he responded.

Oh geez! We sure are missing a lot from this trial.... :(

I guess no reporters tweeting this either.

Thanks for the articles, but of course I can't access them...

edited to add: So only Lynda Hall testified on Day 6 - Wed. 7/10?

TIA!

Nope.... :(

For that day I have the landlord (no name given) & her former bf Munroe for that day of testimony. Anyone else mentioned? TIA! :)

Sorry to do this to you - just wanted to keep my notes straight. ;)

As for the trial, the defense is really toeing a line by accusing a witness of the crime.

During Tuesday's testimony, defense attorney Debra Tuomey accused Matthew “Cody” Munroe of committing the murders of Jessie's father and 6-year-old daughter. He denied her allegations.
“That's when you told the detectives a revelation that you just remembered, that Miss Jessie also asked you if a body would fit in a tote,” she asked.

“Yes,” he replied.

“And this was information that you were providing to detectives prior to them even knowing where these two individuals were. Do you realize that?”

“Yes.”

“That's a pretty specific detail, don't you think? Hmm?” she asked.

“That's why I brought it up,” Munroe said.

This sounds like a detail any sane person would bring up to detectives in this scenario, especially knowing the kind of person Cheyanne is. And:
“I didn't do it,” Munroe responded.

“And the reason why you did that is because you were afraid when (Department of Children and Families) got involved on the 17th, they were going to find out what you were doing,” Tuomey said, suggesting inappropriate involvement with Meredith.

“I wasn't doing nothing to her,” Munroe said. “I never touched her the way you're implying.”

I hope there is more coverage of this trial that focuses on actual evidence presented - if all the defense has done is accuse him, I don't understand how the judge allowed it to continue.

There had to have been evidence of his "pornographic history" presented or that wouldn't have been allowed. This is mind boggling and driving me crazy.
