@Niner There is still a hearing on 3/20 but no actual time yet. There was a memorandum of points and authorities filed with a motion on 3/6/2020 for the Judge to set aside the death penalty verdict and sentence her to life in prison. No ruling on that yet.@Suglo - when you have time could you please see if the status hearing re sentencing is still on for 3/20 for me? TIA!![]()
@Niner They “Deleted” the 3/20 hearing. The State filed a Memorandum of Points & Authorities in Support of the Imposition of the Death Penalty. There are no other hearings in the docket yet. I will check back next week to see if they have set another status hearing or ruled on the defendant’s motion.Since there is no "new" news - will post this until I hear anything different....

Some good articles on Cheyanne Jessie and the trial:

Also confirming she did receive a death sentence.
I'm not sure how I feel about that. I think Cheyanne is legitimately brain disordered. Psychiatrist: Brain damage led Cheyanne Jessie to kill her daughter, 6, and dad in Lakeland
but then...

@Niner I’m good so far and glad to hear you are too. My son sent me five N95 masks the other day to wear at work. That was a pleasant surprise.
