I do not know much about the various types of DNA but the expert I spoke to said if the MP and UP both have DNA in COTIS and they match it will show the match. She did not specify different types

It's CODIS, Combined DNA Index System.

I was unable to find a direct answer to whether autosomal DNA and mitochondrial DNA can be matched against each other (though I think they cannot). However, mitochondrial DNA can only be matched against female relatives. Thus if a UID woman has mtDNA in CODIS (or in this case more commonly, NAMUS), and her father provides a sample for comparison which is also entered, there will not be a match. So it's a great deal more complicated than if both people have DNA on file, there will be a match.

I don’t know anything about how matching is done in CODIS all I know is what the Coroner office told me and what the missing person DNA specialist confirmed. Both said if there is DNA in CODIs it will find the match.

So I am open to any insights. Thank you

Has Stacy Gene Wright been considered as a possible match? His NamUs case has been added this summer and I saw it today on Charley Project while going through the updates. Unfortunately there is just one picture of him and not much information. Imo the physical resemblance is not bad, but there is a 4 year time gap.

I know Taj Narbonne was mentioned previously, there is a strong similarity to their lips and teeth. Are they not identical? Taj on Left and ‘Bobby’ on Right

Here is my newly retouched reconstruction of Bobby, adapted from various sources. In this version, I have digitally enhanced his eyes, nose, and jawline and removed any redness from his eyes. I also replaced the background and adjusted the shadows and colors to place him in a more natural and lifelike position. Additionally, I corrected the postmortem skin coloration. There have been some exciting developments in the case, and I am hopeful that there will be some answers.

Who's room was it? His? Or was it rented by somebody else? The woman's clothes suggesting that either he was a cross dresser or they were left by a woman. The killer could be a woman too IMO. Maybe he was prostituting himself? Or he was visited by a man, proposing himself as a woman. Things get awkward, John Doe was killed and the perp changed put on John Doe's clothes and left the woman's clothes. I really hope they are going to list the woman's clothing items one day, even though it's probably not really relevant to find his identity.

I read here that there was an arrest made in this case, but I couldn't find anything about that. Somebody?

Narrative: An arrest was made in regards to this homicide however; the victim was never officially identified. The subject offered the name of the victim as Robert or Bob Copeland.

In this list however (what is Wikiwand btw?) this John Doe is mentioned, saying case unsolved.

The arrested subject provided LE with the name Bob or Robert Copeland...hmmmm. Changes my view on the name completely....I tend to skip this lead now.

Does somebody know a way to find more about this arrest?

His killer was a fellow magazine salesman, also a runaway, native to Georgia. Apparently this UP was found in the bathtub with dozens of stab wounds. They never mentioned why he killed him. But they did mention that others working with them also provided the possible name. I saw they also suggested he was using someone else's social security number. I wonder who's social security number was used?

I think it's worth it to submit him. The info is thin but it's in line with "Bobby"
