This is tragic! Sanchez was visiting her father who lives in the United States, and had planned to return to Nicaragua Monday, December 15.

I can’t understand how she could have ended up locked inside the freezer. Could she have mistaken a restricted area for the bathroom? And why didn’t she scream for help? Did she not have her cell phone with her? This is bizarre... MOO JMO
BBM and replying to myself for context.

I'm sorry but I do not believe a person mistakes a freezer for say a bathroom

There is no way she could have mistaken a walk-in for a bathroom.
I never said she mistook the freezer for the bathroom... rather, she mistook the restricted area for it. For clarity, I should have added that she may have realized the mistake, panicked, and ended up in the freezer.

Oh, I wasn't trying to say you stated she mistook the freezer for a bathroom. If it came across that way, my apologies. I was just trying to point out the difference between a regular (man) door and a commercial freezer/cooler door.

curious about her father's location.

Sorry for the confusion, the bathroom door was my input meant only metaphorically to distinguish between a freezer door and any other type of door.

No mention of sa?

I'm imagining the walk in to be the room behind the glass doors where the ice cream is.
Would a person be able to push all the products away and exit through the customer side?

I'm reminded of the case about a year ago (?) when an in-store bakery employee ended up in a walk-in oven. Nobody much on here thought it could be suicide, but turned out to probably be that. I don't remember if there was ever a definitive answer. MOO

That other case was on here too, but I can't remember where in North America, nor the name of the woman.

That was the WM somewhere in Canada. I followed that one as well. I can't remember the lady's name either.

Yeah, I never thought that (Walmart) tragedy was a suicide.

Suicide is actually fairly common among anesthesiologists. It can be a very stressful job, often described as "90% boredom and 10% sheer terror". But these suicides are usually drug related.

She was a 32 y/o mother of two children. I wonder if she was in a relationship that wasn’t working, possibly DV, a partner exerting a lot of control, thought leaving was her best option, saying goodbye to her parent, then walking away…. Such an odd case.

An anesthesiologist has access to drugs that would make suicide painless and quick. If this was self inflicted there had to be some sort of mental break. Its just too out there. How would she even know they had a freezer ??
