Human remains found in wooded area in Mims


BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. — Detectives said human skeletal remains were discovered in a wooded area of Mims early Tuesday evening.
According to the Brevard County Sheriff's Office, the remains were found in the woods along the 2600 block of U.S. 1



Deputies at the scene told WFTV the human remains appeared to have been there for quite some time.

The skeletal remains of a man identified as 34-year-old Justin Edward Ayers were discovered Tuesday in a wooded area by the Fill-N-Station on U.S. 1 in Mims reports Florida Today.

Investigators said they believe Ayers' remains may have been there for about a year.

Florida Today reports that Brevard County deputies suspect no foul play at this point.
