The dating app was Grindr? I thought that was a site for gay men. Maybe it's used by others too, and I just never realized it. Or maybe this guy is gay, who knows. Maybe it was Michelle she met on the site, but it says she was lured to the home after meeting a man on a dating site.

And why would he send pictures of Miranda after he'd beaten her to anyone, but especially to his own mother, of all people? Well, considering it was his mother's home that he took Miranda's body to in order to dismember her, maybe that's not so surprising.

Can these people who admitted receiving pictures he sent of Miranda while she was still alive be charged with something too?

This is the police interview with Michelle. The details are infuriating but Michelle describes going to play mini golf with Steven and then going to dump her remains In a dumpster. I think grindr is for all kinds of situations but per below it makes sense he was on that app:

1:36:10 They mention a man named Angel, who used to hook up with Steven. His "best friend"... Angel felt hurt when Michelle told him she was his girlfriend... Michelle says Steven was in love with Angel and Steven could be in denial about his sexuality, possibly being bi. The ring given to Steven by Angel is the ring that caused all this drama to begin with.

It's insane to me that Michelle has time for this nonsense as a mother herself.... addiction is a b.

I'm wary to post even more of this case since it's just tragic beyond compare... Miranda's mom is deceased... Miranda's only baby is being raised by her own grandmother, hopefully they can break this cycle of sadness.

This is the police interrogation of Steven Gress who is the male accused of horrors. He faces the DP. Trigger ⚠️ warnings galore. Only watch with care.

The only justice is so these two, Steve and Michelle can no longer walk freely and commit such horrors to another human.

Well, I made it thru that whole video... barely. Really awful. And he never even got into the details of the actual killing or dismemberment yet in that part of the interview. So I know there's more that's much worse, but yes, even this much was awful.

One thing I was mistaken about that the video cleared up was that she was taken to Michelle's mother's house to be dismembered. I thought it was his own mother's house. But Michelle's mother was out of town, out of the country even, I think he said in Puerto Rico, so they went there where no one was home. But there was also something about a "side alley" that they didn't get into in this part of the interview. I'm guessing Michelle said, not in my mother's house you won't! So somehow, I can't imagine how, they did it outside?

But yeah, this guy is so dumb. He never even considered that Miranda might not actually have ever stolen his ring! Even after Michelle TELLS him that she has it! Then he thinks he's figured out that Michelle must have stolen it from Miranda after Miranda stole it from him. Miranda never had it. imo.

And when asked what she was doing that made him think she was mocking him... all that was weird and paranoid and very dumb. The shaking thing I don't even understand. But he said she was mocking him by saying things like, "I don't have it! I never saw it." What??? She said that because she didn't have it! What else should she say? And then he says she said something like, "OK I know where it is, it's outside, I'll show you..." DUH! She was trying to escape! She was desperate, I'm sure. She was being smart.

But it didn't work. At least they have the people responsible, but that's not much comfort. Just awful.

From Grindr's eSafety Guide:
Grindr is a dating and meeting online app predominantly used by gay and bisexual men and the trans and queer community.
(BBM) The minimum age is 18+ for Grindr, and I guess the site has no way to check the age of the persons using it.
