TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV/Gray News) - A 5-year-old girl in Florida died after her mother and stepfather allegedly abused her to death.

The tragedy began to unfold just before 7:45 a.m., on May 19, when Tallahassee police officers responded to a report of an unresponsive child not breathing in the 4100 block of Kipling Court.

Officers arrived and located a man, later identified as the girl’s grandfather, performing CPR on 5-year-old Missy Mogle.

Poor little tyke so much abuse, not enough food for healthy brain development, she probably couldn’t formulate the words or articulate the horror to others, and pure torture from the “step father”. Sick, demented, horrible adults.

Did Gpa live with them? Did he know what was happening to this child? Did he try to get help for her? Any childcare providers in the picture?

(why are there surveillance videos in a 5 year old girls' bedroom?) I can think of no good reason, especially considering the following:

Last year, a sting by the Leon County Sheriff’s Office led to Daniel Spencer’s arrest. He was charged with multiple child sex crimes, including traveling to meet a minor, and was ultimately convicted last month.

At the time of his stepdaughter’s death, Daniel Spencer was out on bail while awaiting sentencing.

Additionally, court records revealed that Tallahassee Police investigated accusations that Daniel sexually abused the 5-year-old girl last year.

I also feel their use of the word "manipulated" says a lot.

This is a 5-year-old child. Not an adult trying to maliciously attack you. They are babies still learning about these concepts and figuring out boundaries and what's wrong versus what's right. It's YOUR job to teach them kindly about the world.

Of course, I don't even believe any of that happened in the first place.

But it jumped out at me as speaking to their state of mind. I feel like this happens a lot in these cases. The "parents" (lol) see their little children as not children but as stubborn, conniving adults inside a small body. It's very bizarre.

Court records obtained Wednesday by WCTV reveal that the state intends to seek the death penalty for Chloe Spencer. Chloe Spencer has pleaded not guilty to the charges.

That tells you all you need to know about how politicians in FL feel about children, IMO.

Well, Missy is now free from all that horror -- the hurt and fear of what happened to her is over and no longer known to her. It will never happen to her again.

Other photos recovered showed Chloe Spencer “standing over [her daughter], who was on her bed in the fetal position, while Chloe held an object over her head as if she was preparing to hit [her] with the object.”

The 23-year-old mother later told authorities that she hit the girl with the shoe, court records say.
