PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla —
Kayla Oxenham told her children, she “forgot how much she loved fire,” as she seared their skin with a stick.
A 7-year-old told cops her mom also cracked her sisters heads against a wall after she became angry over a cat being locked in a bathroom.<snip>
Oxenham told police she branded the kids, so she would be able to recognize them. She also added she did it so the children could have ice cream.

Looking at her hair she could have easily dyed their hair a different colour to recognize them. Is she sight impaired? Can't work out what ice cream has to do with this.
She sure is loopy. Where is/are the father/fathers? What happened to the kids?

She should be going for a psych evaluation. JMOO

A Florida woman has been sentenced to three years probation after she branded her two young daughters.

Kayla Oxenham branded her two daughters, ages 5 and 7, to identify the children as her own. Her 7-year-old daughter told Port Charlotte, Florida, police officers that her mom used a lighter to heat a stick, which she then used to brand the two girls with. According to The Associated Press, she offered the girls ice cream after burning them.
