FL FL - Newberry, Skeletal Remains found in Septic Tank, Aug'17

Thanks for finding the update. Surprised they didn't at least say if male or female adult. moo

It appears that they don't know yet. Possibly they didn't find the pelvis or other bones that would give a clue.

One Year Later, Identity of Human Remains Found In Newberry Septic Tank Still Unknown
August 10, 2018
"A year after some human remains were found in a septic tank at a Newberry home, the mystery of who the person was continues.

The tank at the time was being pumped for a problem, which led to the discovery of the bones. The medical examiner’s office since last August has been working to identify the remains."

I couldn’t find an update. Anyone else?

Nothing here, sorry.
Surprising that more evildoers' do not hide bodies in these septic systems, as they're only pumped out every 2-3 years or more, depending on the size of the tank.
I'd imagine they've contacted the owner -- and former residents -- of the home ?

This may seem crazy and far fetched and it probably is, but... is there any chance this could be Heather Elvis?

Heather is missing from Myrtle Beach SC which seems to be a pretty straight shot down either 95 or Highway 17. Also the two persons of interest in Heathers case visited Florida(Disney) about 3 weeks after she disappeared. Newberry seems to be only about 2 hours or so North of the Orlando area.

Wishful thinking most likely I know, but I just thought I’d throw it out there.

Bumping up. Can any sleuths find an update? I can't tell if this case is the UID mentioned 2 posts above. Any opinions? That case is still in NamUs.

Nothing except for the 2018 article from WUFT, UF's journalism site. Hadn't thought about that in a while. So sad that the person has not been ID'd.

I looked also and found the same old MSM articles. Maybe someone with a newspaper online subscription could find something more recent.

Is this the Namus for the person in the septic tank? Or is this someone else?

I searched property records and owners. Cross checked with courthouse criminalr records .Interesting. But the previous owner single man. Worked and managed a water company. He lived there many years. New york was a prior address
Iam reading back on this thread again.. and it says the previous owner worked and managed a water company? I wonder what kind of water company. I wonder if the guy always did his own repairs on the septic tank himself. Also has anyone ever found any info on how old the remains could be?

I just sent a query to Alachua County Sheriffs Office, Detective Dave Visconti who is contact on NAMUS. He may or may not get back to us. I left this link.
