Yikes....that presser really does sound like perhaps several people were knowingly involved, either directly or indirectly and in a small or large capacity.

What the heck is wrong with people?! Some of us "normal" people have a difficult time finding people to help us move or to drop us off at the airport at 4:30am; this guy apparently had no difficulty finding people to help him commit and/or cover-up a murder.

I have to say that it is so great to hear a passionate message from this Sheriff on a missing/murder case. LE was on this case quickly and executed their investigation brilliantly IMO. So often missing cases don't get the benefit of someone like the Sheriff we see in this case but this Sheriff seems involved and cares deeply about the investigation IMO.

It was clear that the Sheriff was speaking for his entire team that has been working tirelessly on this case and he will do what he needs to do in order to get justice for the victim, her son and her family.

Definitely possible, but also the heat here is still pretty intense lately and could escalate decomp.

It has been disgusting here lately.

A body buried less than a week, but average temps in high 80's, high humidity. It reached 90 degrees at least one day last week as well.

These people had a bulldozer in their yard digging within a day of killing Nicole. This spells stupid. My bet's on decomp that kept them from identifying gender etc.

Meanwhile, Otero-Rivera went back before a judge for his bail hearing. He is charged with violating a no contact order and his probation.

According to the public defender, he sent a text or phone call to Montalvo. He was not allowed to contact her in any way after pleading guilty to beating her up and stealing her credit cards.

A judge decided Sunday to give Otero-Rivera a bail that is 10 times higher than what his attorney asked for.

Rivera, Montalvo's father-in-law, has not appeared before a judge because he is in a hospital suffering from chest pains and shortness of breath.

These are not the brightest male specimens FLA has to offer. What did they think LE would do, when it was known she was last seen dropping her son off there? They were digging up the earth with a large piece of machinery - how on earth did they think they'd get away with it?

Forgive me if this question is dumb; a backhoe is certainly sufficient enough to easily dig a hole to conceal a body, yes? So, what would be the need/purpose for a bulldozer in addition to the backhoe?
