It would not surprise me to learn that the same woman who was involved in the brutal attack on Nicole also is involved this time. I'm also thinking there could be uncles, cousins, brothers, etc.

Wanda Rivera, 59, is at the Osceola County Jail on a $100,000 bond. She was escorted to the jail following a press conference announcing the arrest and said nothing to reporters as she was placed inside a patrol car.

[...]

“This investigation is still ongoing. Detectives are continuing the great work that they do to follow up on every lead," Gibson said. “And when I say ‘every lead,’ the leads are enormous.”

“There’s other people out there that played a role in this and we’re going to be knocking on their doors soon,” he said.

From your article referenced from your link (BBM):

The homicide investigation remains ongoing, and could potentially extend to other missing persons, Gibson said. Neither suspects in Montalvo's murder are said to be co-operating with the investigation.

Holy sh**!!
Wow, I never even noticed that. But hey, if they could do this to her, a member of their own family, what other heinous, unthinkable evil are these trash bags capable of?

I'm not convinced that these were NM feelings though, and that this wasnt written under some kind of duress, especially after seeing the photo and comment of COR with his son on AOL fb page.

Exactly. What sort of threat was she under to suddenly claim her in-laws and ex were okay for her son to be around? I guess we now know.

She knew how dangerous he was, and she likely knew quite a few other things about that family.

The judge should never have let him off so easy for his attempted murder of her. If only they had some sort of accountability when things like this happen.

It seems shocking to learn that this man who was knowned to be so violent was allowed to have visits with a child. To make matters worse, this poor woman who was trying to escape from this monster's arms and piece her life back together, was forced to meet with him on a regulator basis do to his custodial rights, which he should not have been aloted.

It really makes me wonder sometimes when I see young mothers meeting exhusbands in fast food parking lots to drop off or pick up their children, because they just don't feel safe enough to go to visit the person's home.

ITA. If they wanted fewer of these murders to happen, there would be a law that serious abuse (like attempted murder/almost breaking her neck!) means automatic ending of visitation until some remedy has occurred (extensive counseling, etc.). Many abusers simply stalk through the courts - they have no real interest in providing for or caring for the children - they just want to make the woman's life as miserable as possible and keep that control over her - and the courts allow that.

It was said that the woman who was part of the incident where NM was pulled from her car is not involved and is actually cooperating with the police. I either read that in an article or it was stated in an update by the Sheriff.

Hmmm I thought that was as yet another arrest - need to check the media thread to verify

I live just a few counties away from her. I have a bunch of questions
1. If Montalvo assaulted by ex husband a week ago and order of protection why would she drop her son off? If that stuff happened there is no way I would leave my sons there. I would take him to school, no school and stay home, or I would have Not gone to work even if I got fired.
2. Is other individual they want to talk to be the girlfriend. Info says she was involved in the attack last week
3. Where is her car?
4. If someone would have picked the child from school, we may not even know anything is amiss!
5. What killed her?
6. Sheriff keeps saying how gruesome the crime scene. Detectives/PD see a lot of horrible things. What makes them say worse ever. Wonder if they burned her too. Could be why ME hasn’t released report? Or could be authorities holding for now.
7. Who took the child to school?
8. Family members tried to empty bank accounts once she was found. Sounds like they were getting ready to leave the country. Report says they frequently left the country
9. He was about to go to jail for beating, kidnapping and holding a knife to her the week before. She would be the victim/witness of him assaulting her and violating protection order. Plus he had firearms and was a felon. Detectives figured that out and that’s why they arrested the guys so quickly to keep them from leaving the country? Did they have plane tickets?
My summary... wife was going to rat him out, he would be in jail, so get rid of ex wife, empty the bank accounts, take the grandkids and go far away.
10. The little boy may hold all the answers

She was arrested on unrelated charges the day before the father/son were arrested.

@oveido, didn't recognise you with the changed avatar! Had to do a double take. I posted the arrest info of the alleged GF previously here. She was arrested the day before the father/son were arrested.

In central Florida, where I live, there r 2 unsolved murders of young women that were never found. My brain immediately went to those two women when they said there may be other bodies.

S/BBM

I'm not finding anything about assault that happened a week prior to NM's murder?? Can you share link please.

There were reports of domestic violence in 2016, and kidnapping and assault in Oct 2018. I believe COR served jail time and was on probation. He was also wearing an ankle monitor at time of NM's death.

Court records show history of domestic abuse before St. Cloud woman's slaying

ST. CLOUD, Fla. — The mother-in-law of Nicole Montalvo is out on bond this morning after being arrested for allegedly lying to detectives and tampering with evidence.
.....
Sheriff Russ Gibson said there will likely be more arrests in this case. “There are others out there, and they know who I am talking to,” Gibson said, addressing them. “We know who you are. We’re about to show up at your doorstep too.”
