Mother-In-Law of Nicole Montalvo Bonds Out of Jail
By Rebecca Turco Osceola County

ST. CLOUD, Fla. — The mother-in-law of Nicole Montalvo is out on bond this morning after being arrested for allegedly lying to detectives and tampering with evidence.
.....
Sheriff Russ Gibson said there will likely be more arrests in this case. “There are others out there, and they know who I am talking to,” Gibson said, addressing them. “We know who you are. We’re about to show up at your doorstep too.”
——
Continue to be impressed by Sheriff Gibson
I remember when my parents told me if I was with someone who committed a crime and had knowledge of it, I was just as guilty. I wish in cases such as this they would follow the same set of laws and punishments for her situation as her son and husband.

They sometimes do that here in the UK under joint enterprise laws.

In this type of family structure depending on everything from family covers for family to honor killings to whatever they do not want to their child/family to go to prison. Mom would rather go to prison than her child. So no surprise she lied.

apparently so IMO.

the GF unless they are talking about other murders which make me wonder about those 2 young girls that just vanished years ago in central Florida

#1 who put up the bond money? #2 let her bond out and see where she leads them

Exactly. What sort of threat was she under to suddenly claim her in-laws and ex were okay for her son to be around? I guess we now know.

She knew how dangerous he was, and she likely knew quite a few other things about that family.

The judge should never have let him off so easy for his attempted murder of her. If only they had some sort of accountability when things like this happen.
I think it was the first live sheriff press release at the end of it a camera and video were still running and individuals were heard saying something like he is really pissed off, meaning the sherif. At the time I thought it was just bc of the case and possibly more victims but it was probably bc of the victim being assaulted just short of being killed and he was let go

I really interested in hearing what the child says. I pray to God he is somewhere safe!!!!

From what I have heard if what they are saying is pretty much the truth.... drop off child, lure mom in somehow(my guess would be mom in law) send child to school by bus(talk to bus driver?) or family member took him. School busses have cameras. Mom was killed once kid gone. Where was crime scene? Mom was going to put him in jail. They planned on leaving the country

Have they released the gf name?

Have they released the gf name?
And I hate to say this BUT this is also the land of the notorious “baby killer” that got off years ago. Anything on Facebook about these individuals?

There was also a big drug bust with in hours before the latest update on this case. What reasons would you make frequent trips out of the country? I’m just saying

I think that was why the sheriff was so pissed they he was out of jail. Did she drop the charges? Bc she knew what would happened if she didn’t? The family ambushed her. Did no one pick up on the child being upset? I don’t have to hear a word from my kid and can tell by his face something is wrong

I'm not finding anything about assault that happened a week prior to NM's murder?? Can you share link please.

There were reports of domestic violence in 2016, and kidnapping and assault in Oct 2018. I believe COR served jail time and was on probation. He was also wearing an ankle monitor at time of NM's death.

Court records show history of domestic abuse before St. Cloud woman's slaying

On Oct. 4, 2018, Otero-Rivera was charged with kidnapping, battery and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after Montalvo reported he and another woman, Toni Rocker, kidnapped and beat her on Oct. 3, 2018, according to the Osceola County arrest report.

According to the arrest report, Otero-Rivera and Rocker pulled Montalvo from her vehicle and covered her mouth and nose. Otero-Rivera slapped her and held a knife to her throat and told her if she told anyone she would be “killed.”

Otero-Rivera later used the victim’s card to pay for gas before letting her go, the report said. She told deputies she noticed later her debit cards and cash were also missing.

Deputies who spoke to Montalvo said her face was swollen and red and she had dried blood on her mouth.

Otero-Rivera is currently on probation stemming from that arrest on charges of intimidating a witness and two counts of illegal possession of a credit or debit cards, according to the Florida Department of Corrections.

Wanda Rivera, 59, is at the Osceola County Jail on a $100,000 bond. She was escorted to the jail following a press conference announcing the arrest and said nothing to reporters as she was placed inside a patrol car.

[...]

“This investigation is still ongoing. Detectives are continuing the great work that they do to follow up on every lead," Gibson said. “And when I say ‘every lead,’ the leads are enormous.”

“There’s other people out there that played a role in this and we’re going to be knocking on their doors soon,” he said.

Mother-in-law of missing woman found dead in St. Cloud arrested on evidence tampering charge
This is not his first wife, Angel Rivera's first wife disappeared mysteriously 30 years ago.
I hope he's charged for that crime also.

What is her name and what happened? Who wants to take that and find info? Florida has open records so maybe we could find something

Per article I just read..... Christopher (ex husband) was supposed to be wearing an ankle bracelet. Father in law is also a felon so should not have a gun. Report says she dropped child off at school. Her work started the process bc she never made it to work. also if they went to the bank they would be on camera
