FL FL - Noemi Bolivar, 21, went for a walk, Hollywood, 11 Feb 2021

No accusations against "Larry", but he thought enough to tell reporters he was in the center about 4:15 or 4:30. So, Larry could be one of the most helpful persons right now IMO. He knew she "wasn't crying or nothing". Maybe within this amount of time he recalls other things?

Still praying this dear family gets their girl back.
I wish we had more of Larry’s conversation in context. Why would he just blurt out “she wasn’t crying or nothing”? That, without full context, has always struck me as odd, especially if he’s the last known person to have seen her. I’m NOT suggesting he’s involved in any nefarious way, but I’d sure like to hear the entire conversation. Just MOO.

Where are you Noemi?

I'm going to guess that Larry spoke to police before he spoke to the reporter. They may have asked him if Noemi seemed upset. That may be why he thought that was an important detail.

I agree, but it’s so random out of context. I’m sure that’s how it came about though, FlossyMay.

Larry said he seen her around 4:00-4:30 “not crying or nothing”
The new updated flyer says she was seen at the Nature Center at 6pm. The park gates close at 6pm.
Was she seen on a video cam or did someone besides Larry see her?

Probably seen by the county staff locking the gate. A staff member surveys the park, locks the restrooms, verifies all vehicles have left the parking lot, that hikers/walkers are at or outside the exit. Then they lock the gate. Hopefully exit cameras, local house cameras, business cameras or witnesses pick up her whereabouts after that point.

I need to backtrack and read but what time was the bus?

My hunch is that one of the working theories police have is self harm. They would have asked "Larry" if Noemi seemed distressed or upset. At least that would explain why it was on his mind.

Apologies for the disturbing question but if it was an animal in the water, would there be pieces of clothing or other clues left visible? I find it hard to imagine that she wouldn't be found if fallen/dragged in water.

I agree Maljako, but that’s just my curious mind grasping at straws to put more of a picture together because we know so little. Praying Noemi comes home soon.

It would seem so, but there are acres of mangroves they haven't really searched, so evidence could be easily concealed just underwater in all the vegetation.

Prayer Vigil Held for Woman Missing Out of Hollywood

Friends and family of 21-year-old Noemi Bolivar gathered for a prayer vigil Thursday, one month after she disappeared in Hollywood.

Jose Bolivar is hopeful his daughter will be found safe and sound. “My faith is still strong,” Bolivar said. “I believe we’re going to find her soon.”

“We’re really missing her a lot,” he added. “And for us, we cannot believe that it’s already been a month.”

In the one month she’s been missing, there’ve been eight different search parties to find her.

The family said they’ve also hired a private investigator.

Hopefully the PI can shake something loose.

Self harm wouldn’t hide a body.

Not getting a good feeling about this. I don’t think she’s still with us but I have no idea how she wouldn’t be (I could go a lot of different angles). Very puzzling and so incredibly frustrating that the park cameras were not working

MOO

Sadly, I agree.

The environmental factors of the preserve are mindboggling to me. If she's in there, finding her is going to be a matter of luck. I'm not remotely convinced she ever made it back outside the gates. :(

It’s a limited search area. You’ve got to think that with canines and drones, they would’ve found her by now if she was in the park. It makes me think that maybe something happened to her or she was abducted outside the park. I’ve also wondered about the cell pings along Ocean Dr... I wonder if the phone went into the water if it would still ping for a bit? Maybe she went into the Stranahan river :( MOO

Bluntly, what worries me is that wildlife may not have left many traces of her.

This happened in another Broward County nature center just eight miles away in 2018. Florida community where woman was killed by alligator lived sent warning 2 days before attack, report says

Granted, it was June, not February. I don't know if that makes any difference. I know very little about mangrove swamps and Florida waterways, just that salinity can vary and that measure affects what wildlife can inhabit an area.

*edited to correct year of incident

The poster says she was seen at 6 pm.
The park gates closed at 6pm.
Where was she at when seen at 6 and how was she seen?

To be sure, but the Larry interview took place early on.

As it happens, I followed a case years ago where a young woman went missing in a well-frequented nature park and massive searches ensued. When the body was found two months later by chance, a lot of people had stopped believing she could still be within the park.
