Police called to Barahona home 16 times since 1996

Police officers were called to the West Miami house of Jorge Barahona - the man accused of trying to murder his 10-year-old son by dousing the boy with corrosive chemicals - an average of about once a year between 1996 and Monday, to investigate reports of sick or injured people, assault and other claims, records show.

Now this just frosts my cookies!!! How dare that regional director woman say yesterday that she, personally, has gone through their file and there were nothing but STELLAR reports!!! WTH was she reading?
I guess Miami social workers are very gulliable and the Barahona's were quite the good liars!
It also says in that article that the courts are moving ahead to terminate the grown daughter's parental rights NEXT WEEK! Boy, now they sure can move fast - after the fact.
