Pharmacists in Gulf Breeze, FL started reporting concerns in 2021. But per the articles above it sounds like investigations didn’t begin until this year. :(

Sadly, that might be sop.

I have read that it takes alot to move on pill mill doctors as they are intelligent (doctors after all), and know the minimum that they need to do legally to: "examen" the patient and "justify" the prescription. Likewise, the addicts have learned to give simple and consistent descriptions of "pain" and where / how the injury occurred.

As a result, only the most blatant pills docs are charged.

Hoping this changes as I have a family friend who is addicted- and sadly looks it. She had one white coat drug dealer for years, then readily found another dealer when she moved to a different city (also white coat- her husband told me that she never uses street dealers). I would love to see both these "doctors" charged and imprisoned for a long, very long time.

She used Facebook messenger to communicate and set up all the appointments. ‍Mind boggling.
