FL FL - Ocala, WhtMale UP6168, 25-50, hit by car on I-75, Nov'90

I wasn't aware of a hair requirement for jail. Does it vary by location maybe? When I was on a jury, the guy had really long dreadlocks.
Now I'm curious so I asked Google..... This document is dated 2016 but I do see it references revisions or something back in the 70s. So I'm not sure if this is just a summary document that was updated, or a new batch of rules they instituted. It does make me think they had their heads shaved upon entry into a federal prison. But not necessarily a local jail. I was just thinking the hair length would help the timeline.

Good Find! Here is the history of the rule. It has not changed.
33-602.101 : Care of Inmates - Florida Administrative Rules, Law, Code, Register - FAC, FAR, eRulemaking
This is Dept of Corrections. So, after they are sentenced. If they are picked up and only spend a short time in jail, they stay in local/County jail. I didn't see where these rules apply in those circumstances. People in County could be picked up and let go within hours, put in the drunk tank overnight, or sit for weeks until a hearing or they can make bond. My comment above was actually referring to the County jail. Say someone lives on the opposite side of the County, gets picked up, spends the night, then is released...how do they get back home, if they have no money or friends?

Who is this? I agree there are some similarities that i can't ignore like the teeth and eye brows, especially. Perhaps someone should check records to make certain there wasn't an entry error on either of their heights. MOO
This is the guy here. He had just gotten out of hospital, which may explain all the scars on the Doe. He may also have had a large growth spurt in between? It's possible, and I cant deny the physical similarities. I wonder if there are any other PM photos.

observations. The most recent artist rendering makes him look like an inmate with the clothing color they choose. It does not look like the post mortem either. So I can see why some are mentioning he may have escaped/been in jail or that premise.
I'd like to know if he was hit by car in north bound or south bound lane of 75. I'm betting south bound and he was not from Florida. Maybe was hitching his way south.
not sure why he was wearing all those clothes and didnt have a backpack or something to carry them.
He looks more 20s or 30s, more towards late 20s.
He's tall. Should be easy to find someone on namus missing with his height features.
Scaring would indicate these were older injuries or surgeries not something recent which he would have been to hospital close to that time.

in addition, it's illegal in Florida and probably other states to walk on, hitch hike , etc on the interstate. LE should check if there are any out standing warants in Florida or states near of someone for failure to appear from dates just prior if he was hitch hiking. Also, were there any cars abandoned/broke down around that time in Marion or Alachua Counties that he could have been trying to walk to an exit and that could be why he was wearing all his clothes he brought incase he couldn't get back to the car or it died and he was leaving it

I started the jail theory, completely based on proximity and knowing there isn't much up there. I was looking for places on the map he may have come from when I realized the jail complex was right there.

From the information below, he face must have been swollen from the injuries. He was very tall and on the skinny side for that height.

The FDLE flyer was linked in a post above, but I don't think the text was ever copied over:

NARRATIVE: On November 18, 1990 an unknown man was struck and killed on Interstate 75 near the County Road 329 overpass, 10 miles north of Ocala. The man was wearing white jeans, a dark colored wind breaker and white tennis shoes. He was in his 20's and had a height of about 6'4" and weight of 152 pounds. He had long brown hair and hazel eyes. If you have any information please contact the District 5 Medical Examiner at (352) 326-5961 or the Florida Highway Patrol.

Newspapers.com does not have any articles that may give more details and the Star Banner's archive only goes back to 1991.

TY it just says north of Ocala. No mention which direction. I looked on mapquest and Hwy 329 is near Reddick. That stretch of interstate doesn't have any exits for many many miles. Makes me still think he might have broke down and was trying to find an exit.
I was just pointing out that the artist rendering does make him look like an inmate with the color of clothes

I absolutely agree! I didn't notice it until you pointed it out. I was trying to say I didn't even notice when I posted, but I didn't word it very well. Which generally means MS-Mush-Brain is kicking in and it's time to go to bed!! Sorry if it came across wrong

What do you all think of Donald Denninger? Went missing from Pinellas County 3 weeks before. He is listed as 6 ft

Here is DD's NamUs profile. I don't think he looks a lot like this victim, though, but JMO.

This UID is not yet listed as an exclusion for DD, according to DD's thread.
