Possible name: Richard Shambo, 72 y/o
I'm guessing this is referring to this 74 y/o who went missing on Jan 5th of this year. Surprised he was skeletonized in under 2 months but I know it's possible, especially in FL.
Waiting for DNA confirmation to come back, perhaps?

This is a perplexing mix of information. NamUs gives an age range of "72". Also a possible name: Richard Shambo. Someone by that name but an age of 74 was reported missing near there a week earlier, but was last seen Jan. 5. That seems to be the missing person they were searching for, but apparently this is not the skeletal remains they found (?).

Richard “Bear” Shambo (74)
Okaloosa County/Holt, Florida
Last contact January 5th 2022
Reported missing February 19th 2022
From OCSO:
‘The OCSO is continuing to investigate the disappearance of 74-year old Richard Shambo who was last seen at his property at 4342 Log Lake Road in Holt on January 5th. The area is very rural.
Two individuals who went to Shambo's property on January 10th say an unknown white male was there, saying he was feeding the dogs for a few days. He's described as an older white male, approximately six foot tall with a slender build, shoulder length black hair with gray streaks, and unshaven facial hair. The man was driving a newer model gray van.’
Shambo is 5’11 with gray hair and blue eyes, and weighs about 190 pounds.

Weather was generally warm in January in that area, multiple days of 80+.

Certainly seems connected to the missing man, I wonder what the hold up is?

I kind of doubt there are multiple missing guys/bodies in this one area wearing similar clothing... since they only found the long bone at the end of Feb I'm guessing they're just slogging through the long process of doing a DNA test (we all know how long is takes) but putting the discovery up on NamUs just in case it turns out not to be Richard. The wording is kind of suspicious, though; "initially found" and "thought to belong". Maybe the discovery/circumstances seemed suspicious in some way so they're keeping their options open?

It might take a while before they confirm the possible identify that’s what happened with Hoover Jerome Morris.

The NamUs page for this man has been removed. I can't find MSM confirmation that is was indeed Mr. Richard Shambo.
