Special note: Bipolar and schizophrenic, threatened to harm self in the past. Relatives say she could be disoriented.

Also note, Orlando weather was terrible yesterday with rain followed by temperatures falling down into the '50's (shows she has on a T shirt and shorts).

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Deputies are searching for a missing Osceola County woman last seen five days ago after her car was found Tuesday at Wekiwa Springs State Park.

Osceola County deputies said Paola Marie Miranda-Rosa, 31, was last seen by her family at 3330 S. Semoran Blvd. in Orlando on Dec. 17. She was wearing blue jean shorts and a green or white T-shirt.

Orange County deputies said they found her black 2011 Chevrolet HHR at Wekiwa Springs State Park around 4 p.m. on Tuesday. Deputies said they did a preliminary search of the buildings in the area, but didn’t locate Miranda-Rosa.

Osceola County deputies said it appears Miranda-Rosa arrived in the area of the park on Dec. 18 and could be disoriented, according to her relatives and other sources.

That’s a large park with lots of different roads and trails.

And a lot of animals, including black bears, alligators and snakes. It makes me hope that she left her car there and got into another vehicle and is safe somewhere, instead of imagining an animal attack. Ugh.

Still no new information? I really hope she is ok.

There’s also a large camping ground there. She could be camping with someone.

A little more info here (BBM with my question below)

"The last time anyone in Paola Marie Miranda-Rosa’s family saw her, she was having lunch with her mom, grandmother and uncle on Dec. 17.

Later that day, she made it to an appointment with her doctor, her sister Andrea Miranda said in a video posted to You Tube on Sunday. The next day, she made an ATM deposit then headed to Wekiwa Springs State Park, where witnesses told Osceola deputies they saw her.

“After that Paola has just vanished,” Miranda said. “The park has been completely searched. She’s not there. At this point, we’re searching everywhere for her.”

‘Extremely loved’ Osceola woman still missing after Wekiwa Springs search fails to find her

Now I'm wondering if the doctor wrote a new prescription at that visit that might have affected her?

2 weeks since her disappearance, still no sign of missing Osceola County woman – WFTV

“They have a best friend relationship,” family friend BA said of Paola’s relationship with her mother. “She would speak to her five, six times a day...text her all day.”

Tips lead Miranda-Rosa’s family to Apopka where they gathered New Years Eve to hang flyers.

Taking matters into their own hands, the family organized a caravan, posting her pictures on their cars and driving around the community to spread the word.

I know we aren't allowed to link, but I think I can add that her family has raised funds for a private investigator.

I heard the caravan last weekend rolling around the neighborhood - shouting "if you see something, say something". My heart is breaking for them. I think I might take a walk around wekiva tomorrow...

Now they have video of her wading/swimming in the Wekiva river - I sure hope a gator didn't grab her.

"The Sheriff has acquired a Zistos Portable Underwater Video Camera System to help search the area of the river where Paola was last seen. This equipment is a high-intensity camera system with lights. It has the capability to see into hard-to-reach areas that cannot be explored by standard scuba equipment. Members of the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office will be searching approximately 4 ½ half miles up and down the river using this state-of-the-art equipment.

Sheriff Marcos Lopez, along with 8 other AGG Marine deputies will be at the Wekiva Springs Park searching the area tomorrow, January 6th at 8:00 am".

That is a well known and used swimming area.
Actually that is not so: Swimming is not permitted in Wekiwa Springs Run, Rock Springs Run or the Wekiva River.
Swimming at Wekiwa Springs

There is a designated half-acre swimming area. She was very much in the river and not the swimming area.

I have to say reading through this and seeing her swimming in that area is not good. It doesn't look swimmer friendly at all.
