Per deputies, the girl told the neighbor she was “hot, thirsty and hungry.” She brought the girl food, water, toys and clean clothes as deputies tried to find her parents.

Deputies discovered the area where the family had been living which consisted of two tents in the woods.

A local woman informed the deputies that the child and her dog were found wandering in her yard. Investigators also learned the girl was homeless and did not attend school.

Praying this little girl's life improves. Sounds as if she' has had nothing stable in it for a long while.

I hope the Gparents are able to take her in. IMO

Normally I would have sympathy for people forced through financial struggle to live in a tent and lacking food, but somehow the details here seem to indicate their priority wasn't taking care of her as best as they could. But thankfully safe people found her and she'll be taken care of now.

I do wonder if they tried to seek help from relatives, friends, food banks, etc. and what they were doing when she was found.
