I do not know why so many of the cases on this site are ones that I can relate to.

My cousin's daughter was traded for a car.
I did not have any contact with him other than seeing him where I worked. He has been in and out of jail for many years. If I had known that the mother of his child did not want to care for her, I would have taken her in my home in a heartbeat. I did not know.
Alexis Cormier was murdered March 4th,1999 by being abused by the ones who had traded a car for her. It is said that Alexis was a victim of "shaken baby syndrome". Alexis did not get much media attention at all.
Alexis was alive on this earth for 16 short months.

Her mother was charged with DUI in July of this year. She has been in and out of jail for many years.
I do not know what to say. I come on this site everyday that I can. But it seems that more and more of the articles posted here hit too close to home.
With all due Respect. I am finding it harder and harder right now to deal with cases here on this site.
I am not as strong as many right now and I think that maybe I should take a break.

Respectfully,

Oh, D_S - it really is hard when the cases here touch us in such a personal way. I have had that experience here. I am sorry to hear about your cousin's daughter.

If it is getting you down, spend some time on the lighter parts of the forum or just PMing your friends. Remember that most of the world is not like the worst we discuss here.

All my love to you, friend!:blowkiss:

Did anyone else find it weird that she has a game called "save the baby" on my myspace page?
She sure isn't worried about saving her own baby.

DS, we understand if you need a break. i do too now & then. there's plenty of other sites that you can get addicted to, if you need to veg out on the computer for an hour or 2.. that are far less depressing! (no insult intended, mods!) taking care of yourself is priority #1.. and i don't think WS is going anywhere anytime soon. remember that we are looking at the WORST of humanity through a magnifying glass on this site.. and it makes things look very distorted.

I would have shelled out the $30.00 for sure! Then once the baby was safe in my hands, called the authorities!

I would have done the same thing! this isnt too far from me...wish I had been the one they had approached!

Ah, a two-month-old white baby? People pay much, much more for them! But then, it's only legal if it costs $20,000, and the money goes to someone else.

Yeah a lawyer. Big difference is that there'd be alot of investigating of the prospective parents ahead of time. Hopefully anyway. Sad, but true white infants are a commodity in the eyes of some.

WR, the Myspace is private now. Taxi Mom rocks on finding Myspaces. I looked for that chicks Myspace for quite sometime and couldn't find a thing. The private one I'm seeing the chicks quote is something about making mistakes. She made a big one. Maybe somebody posted her bail?
