Orange County sheriff's detectives investigating an elderly man's disappearance fear that he may be dead.
No one has seen or heard from Paul Cain, 75, since Dec. 30, and the man who officers identified as his caretaker has given investigators conflicting information, detectives say.
Two men, who have been named as persons of interest, have been arrested on unrelated charges, while a third has not been located, said Deputy Carlos Padilla, sheriff's spokesman.
