FL - Police Say Mom Had Kids In Filth, Jacksonville Beach

I know this is sad for the kids, but that was funny, cheko.

I take offense to that term. If Ms. Nava is a Mexican would she be Mexican trash? If she were Hmong would she be Asian trash. Anyway, count on it some of those roaches were transported via her uniform into the hospital. Just who you want caring for ya especially if you are under sedation. That's tragic all the way around.

I thought it was funny because of the trash in the car situation, not because of her race. No offense meant that way at all. I apologize if I hurt your feelings, Filly.

True, I dont have poopie in my vehicle, but anyday of the week we can find empty and full water bottles, sneakers (various sizes), groceries that never made in out to the kitchen (oh, how I hate it), mail, an umbrella (too much rain in Tx) a beach towel or two (have to dry off when I get to the vehicle), I noticed the raincoat in there yesterday. I keep telling myself if I didnt have to walk 50 feet and up 4 steps, dodging 2 dogs and 4 cats, I would be able to keep the vehicle cleaned out better. Hope I never get stopped!

P.S. This girl needs to get some help and stop the drinking! Especially when the kids are with her.

Oh that's O.K. Taximom. I see now the play on words. Thank you though. Any mom with sneakers and stuff in the car is cool in my book. I use my vehicle as a filing cabinet often. Thanks again for caring. No problemo.

I'm glad all is good!

I did show the picture of her car to my hubby because I wanted him to see that our van is not all THAT bad. :D I was so glad when baseball season ended because now we have room again in the van.

You're funny Taximom. Your hubby can't argue there. You're a good mom doing all that running around. That's our job, right? Hey, I ain't ever saw a roach in a car though, thank goodness. I've heard roaches in Florida are mad big too. YUCK! For that reason alone my heart sank for those kids. Plus I can't stop thinking how as an RN she was caring for someone and a roach dropped off her onto them. Gross for sure.

My worst fear is bringing home one of those bugs in a box or bag from the grocery store. So far, so good, but I'd die if I ever found one in my home or car!!!!

I always wonder about medical workers and the police when they have to deal with really filthy people. How do they keep from getting lice etc? Eww I can't think about it!

There was a story here a few weeks ago about a bunch of kids found home alone "covered in lice", and I just wanted to cry. :(
