Part of me kind of wonders if they just assumed based on his tattoo.

Sorta wondering if he was a ranch hand based on clothing. Perhaps since he was found in Quincy, FL, right off I-10, a major thoroughfare, I wonder if he was from Texas. The horse trade/training is in the Ocala area and that is almost 3 hours south.
