Details of Disappearance​

Rider was last seen leaving Dayspring Village, an assisted living facility for adults with schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorder located in the 55400 block of Highway 1 in Hilliard, Florida, on October 11, 2011. This was the day after his birthday.

He was walking northbound towards the Georgia state line. He has never been heard from again. Rider may have traveled to Ohio after his disappearance. His case remains unsolved.

There is a lot of water nearby that he could have encountered. If he was attracted to water, as some mentally ill people are, he may not have made it too far. I wonder how intense the search was at the time.

It is a rural area on SR 301, without businesses and likely not any heavy traffic, particularly truckers who could have picked up a hitchhiker. If he made it into GA and got up to Folkston, GA, he may have been picked up on a business camera. I wonder why they think he could have gone to Ohio.
