"A Palm Bay man walked away from his girlfriend's home last week and has not been seen since, police said.

Based on text messages he sent after his disappearance, Palm Bay police said 60-year-old Ronald Dale Pond may have tried to harm himself.

Police described Pond as a white male, 5-feet, 9-inches tall who weighs about 180 pounds. No information was available on the type of clothing he was wearing.

Anyone with information about Pond's whereabouts can call Palm Bay Police Detective Lewis Jones at 321-634-4019."
