Wherever he is............he's dropped off the radar.

I'm not even seeing any updates about this...........yesterday and the day before it was all over the national news.

At the bottom right corner of your post that you want to edit you will see Edit post, that is what you want to click, if I am not mistaken it takes the place of the Thanks icon, you only have so much time to use this, (can't remember now). hope that helps. I may have to enter this post to see my own post to verify. :) Yes there is a pencil to the left of it.

just noticed you are using tapatalk so not sure if the edit button will show.

This keeps reminding me of Rae Carruth's attempt to flee after arranging for and participating his pregnant girlfriend's murder. Maybe they'll find Loyd in the trunk of a car in Tennessee along with cash, candy bars, and bottles of urine.

Police believe Markeith Loyd may have connections to Haines City. http://at.wftv.com/2jd9aL9

Oh just a trigger- Haines city. We were shipped off to summer camp. 4 or 6 weeks.

in the dining room- phone rings - young - always intuitive. Mom dad just leave. There was a live-in housekeeper - Miss Cappy - I just loved Miss Cappy and she loved me.

Older sister had her own phone line. After a couple of hours it started to ring. We were all set to ship off to camp the following week.

Lesley and Jodi were close. I liked Jodi. It started to come in (way before cell phones this was decades ago). Jodi had been killed in an outing, with four others in Haines city - camp van.

Parents came back. My mother looked fried. MY father, not a particularly demonstrative man, looked fried.

By this point we kinda knew but not really. He called us in to the TV room and explained that Jodi had been killed in a accident in Haines city.

Never forget- afraid of the boogie man, kept talk radio on all the time. Company. It was late- and a news story came on about a prominent lawyer, name, daughter was killed tonight in a vehicular accident.

Hearing Haines City brought all this back.

Agreed. So not the same thing, but several years ago, I lived in an apartment complex where all the balconies faced the parking lot and everyone else's balconies. One day I was on mine smoking and the neighbors across the way came out of their apartment arguing loudly. The woman was telling the man to leave and he wasn't. She said very clearly, "I have asked you to leave and you are not." Then she noticed me standing on my balcony holding my phone and said, "See? There's a witness that I'm asking you to leave and you aren't." They both looked at me, I smiled and waved. They continued arguing and he was getting pretty threatening in his body language, so I went inside and called law enforcement for assistance.

A couple weeks later, I hear rumors that the woman is talking smack about me. I went to go take garbage out, and she was on her porch. She said to the other neighbor, "that's that ______ narc!" and pointed at me. She was very rude and belligerent and was saying I'd called the cops on her for drugs. Rumor was the police had found drugs in the home the day I called.

I was so disgusted and upset! I've been a victim of domestic violence. I wish someone had called for help for me. She was CLEARLY requesting my help when pointing me out. I didn't respond to her when she said all that and ignored her then proceeded to see her in action, sleeping with any neighbor who would have her as well as her boyfriend, who she had immediately allowed to return to the home.

Shrug. And that was just a neighbor. I can't imagine the fear people have about violent gangs and such! Yikes! Not saying it's okay to harbor a fugitive, but I get the fear.

Hi honey

Thank you for sharing.

I was abused in last relationship and feel for you. I too, get the fear here and my stuff was a knocking around when he got drunk - nothing with guns!

I get these people being afraid , I found the one asking if they found the gun totally compelling and chilling.

It seems widespread- and hey we should not be surprised---- he is one mean mother fuc*eer

I think he is long gone and will kill in another place

This guy is bunkered down at some cohorts house. He only got a couple hundred dollars from his ex-boss the day he showed up and talked to him. You aren't going to take off across country on a nationwide manhunt when a few hundred dollars is all you have to your name.

He may have a friend, ex-girlfriend, or even a relative that nobody realizes he even communicated with, and he is hidden away at their place. I suspect he is staying indoors all day, keeping away from the windows, and refusing to step out in the sunlight even for a few seconds. He may have a pretty decent size network of criminal buddies he socialized with, any one of which could be giving him a safe harbor for the time being.

I noticed that the reward for information leading to his capture has reached $100,000.

So.......if anyone out there knows where he is but is too busy to call it in due to the kids, or work, or family gatherings, or an otherwise busy schedule, please get hold of me with a location and I'll handle it from there. I'd be more than happy to split the reward money exactly in half, which would work out to $70,000 on my end.

This is America Steelman. I would only take 65000 so there!

I would think when he started to see them all being hauled in he relocated.

I also think LE knew for several days that these three helped in the other murder - they had been "warning" that they were gonna start arresting helpers.

I think before they actually did they were trying to pressure them "out"

Thanks for replying with a real life example.

I totally agree about the fear. The fear is very real.

Some people think it is a small thing to do the right thing and call LE but when you have to live amongst the people day after day then many serious consequences can happen if the bad guys find out who turned them in. I honestly think that is the main reason most that know this murderer would not turn him in if they know where he is. They dont want to be the person known in that town that brought him down.

To us he is a terrible murderer. To some of the people that know him and associated with him then he may be their dealer or the main dealer of the whole area. So even if they realize its time to turn in this person then they will be apprehensive about it.

I once shared a similar example and slightly different example of someone trying to help out someone and getting no appreciation at all.
It was so shocking to me at the time.

I was going in a club and there was this huge fight between a man and a woman. It was a brutal fist fight and I first thought it was two biker guys it was so brutal. I was shocked to see a grown woman in a knock down drag out fight with a grown man. There was a huge crowd around them and finally someone jumped in to help the lady out. She turned around and decked the helper with one punch and yelled at him to "stay the f... out of it". Then she went right back to brawling with the other guy. It ended shortly after and the two fighters went in the club to have a beer together. It was crazy. They must fight like that all the time. LOL

Not quite the same but another example of someone trying to do the right thing and he was punched in the face over it and ended up knocked on the ground.

Seriously though. This is a great idea. The people that may know where he is but cannot risk being the one to let LE know should try to find someone they can trust and be willing to be the one to let LE know for them.

They could split the money and its a win win situation.

I agree with others though that I think he may have left the immediate area by now. I do hope LE catches him quickly. They are probably already looking to see if he knows anybody from other areas as he may try to hide out with extended relatives or other friends not from the area.

At this point, anyone could call a tip in anonymously.

Yes if they dont want the 100K reward money then yes they could just call the anonymous crime stopper tip lines that most states have.

I have to wonder if the bad crowd doesn't trust those tip lines that their information would really stay anonymous. It would be interesting to survey people in the bad crowd to see about that. I am guessing most of them don't use those tip lines because they don't trust that they would really be kept anonymous. I would love to see a survey on that.

With no pay phones anymore and with all the caller ID features that LE has then I have to wonder if that is a reason why those tip lines dont get more usage. They dont make it very easy for people to try to take precautions to be sure their tip could not be traced to them. People would have to put some work into it like going to a library or somewhere else where there is a phone and no cameras. Scratch library because of cameras.

This is the sort of thing where more work could be done IMO to help out the general public and help them to know their information would truly be anonymous. Its not like the bad crowd has a lot of trust in LE to begin with. We need to do more along those lines and then those tip lines and such would get more usage IMO.

Yes, I too have wondered how truly anonymous the tip lines are. I honestly think the only way that these neighborhoods are going to be able to get rid of the people inflicting so much fear and carnage there will be by good citizens and police building a strong, trusting relationship where the good are protected for their bravery. How they are going to do that? I don't even have a stick big enough to shake at it. Just so frustrating when, they very people afraid of these people are afraid to come forward.

Exactly.
I believe we are touching on something very important here and it could make a big difference to help reduce crime in affected areas if its properly handled. You are right that its going to take some careful community planners and some careful decisions by the people in the roles that can actually make some changes to do something about it.

There are plenty of mothers and fathers and brothers and sisters that are good people and want to do the right thing but feel trapped in their own neighborhoods and they surely dont want their house shot up or worse.

One thing I am convinced about is more needs to be done. We have not done enough to give the "good" citizens a way to help out without becoming victims themselves.

I remember one community that turned itself totally around becase a Mom of a gang member took matters into her own hands. She risked a lot but she was successful and her community got rid of all the really bad guys. She should not have had to do that on her own. We must provide ways for people to help LE without becoming victims. There has to be some better solutions than what we have today.

Just mo but i think the crime stoppers programs are anonymous - they are too wide spread, been going too long - word would have gotten out by now if they betrayed them

Except maybe in Pike Co since that seemed to float down the river --never to rise again!

I saw a story how it works:

Cant use 911 cause that gives call back number

call the number provided

tip

they give you a code

when your tips pays off

go to a bank no id asked

I suppose they can do surveillance video but I think the value of the program nationwide trumps ruining/tainting it

In this particular case I cant imagine if anyone giving a valid (well maybe not I do not think he is doing charity work with friends!) is probably a criminal but, at this point he has topped the charts - preg g/friend with kids already - cop the only reason the other one was dropped cause the teenager recanted.

Which in reality he probably told he chop her mother into pieces or something. Does not m mean he did not do it mean the system could not prosecute cause he scared a witness of

And, the more pressure they put on , the more dangerous he becomes. Its Orlando its hot here- apparently he had been wearing a bullet vest three weeks after he murdered her and the infant, so there is no reason to think he does not sleep in it

Frankly I think we all know that someone with this degree of criminal thinking patterns has probably done lots more than he has gotten caught for.

The weird thing is if he is actually out of the area, the only way for him to live is by crime.

So does that really mean he is still in this part of the state??
