MISSING ENDANGERED – SANDRA GORDON
Sometime in the late evening hours of June 21, 2020 or the early morning of June 22, 2020, Sandra left a home located at 12590 Southeast 48th Terrace in Belleview. She is driving a 2010 Dark Blue Chevy Traverse with a possible Tennessee tag, CCW041. Sandra was last seen wearing a light blue tank top and light colored shorts. She told her friend she was headed to the Florida Horse Park and has not heard from her since. When her friend attempted to call her phone, an unknown person answered and it has caused concern for her safety. If you have any information on Sandra’s whereabouts, please call 911.

Body of missing Belleview woman found in retention pond

Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies confirmed a body found floating in a retention pond in Belleview was that of a woman who had been reported missing.

They say the body of Sandra Gordon of Belleview was found in a pond off southeast Campbell Road.

Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies confirmed a body found floating in a retention pond in Belleview was that of a woman who had been reported missing.

They say the body of Sandra Gordon of Belleview was found in a pond off southeast Campbell Road.

Almost 6 weeks since her body was found, and no cause of death released yet, nor any indication if LE believes foul play was involved.

How easy is it to fall into and drown in a retention pond? Anyone know anything about the pond where she was found?

Map where she was reportedly found off SE Campbell... I don't see any ponds though.

I found an article from April 2020 which states she was arrested and charged with battery, "Citra woman with long record arrested after tussle in shed." In the article it mentions that she had a long history of drug use as well.

I'm thinking there are 2 possible scenarios:
1) She was doing drugs and overdosed and fell into the pond.
2) She met with someone in the area who then killed her, either due to drug conflict and/or pre-existing enmity.

I think scenario 1 is more likely than scenario 2.
