An elderly disabled lady who SB did nice thing for and that's how the "caregiver" position entered?

The woman is at the courthouse *with* her caregiver. As in, the woman who is testifying needs a caregiver to help her there. I don't think the caregiver was Sarah.

I suspect the psychologist is going to state it is possible SB had 'dissociated'I believe this is the gist of it - that SB is going to claim that JT stated something along the lines of 'when I get out of this case, I'm going to do x , y , z... ' at which point she felt so terrified she erm... went to bed and fell asleep... !? and then suffered narcolepsy due to the terror, fell asleep and had no memory of any of it due it was a different part of her psyche that did it. If this type of talk emerges, it will be doing a massive disservice to battered women and battered men and children and people with severe mental health problems IMO.

IMO:
SB's big problem with that is she knew he couldn't breathe and still left him there.

Also she told the detective that she went upstairs and thought he'd follow and they'd be intimate.

If he did threaten her while in the suitcase she could have quickly unzipped part of it and ran out of the house, she had plenty of time to get away.

JT sounded very weak calling her name and telling her he couldn't breathe.
His chest/breathing was totally compromised by the position he was in and the lack of air in the suitcase.

Thanks, I edited my comment to just SB did nice things for her.

SB to detective.

"there was NO ill will between us last night"

How can she try and sleaze out of that?

Agree her story sucks and makes zero sense to me. IMO it's all slipping around and contradictory and not possible to believe any of it, I suspect she even straight up murdered JT and possibly planned it in advance.

But there's bound to be an argument presented that SB was fighting for her life etc.

‘F you Jorge. F this, F that. Thats how it feels when you cheat on me’

That’s no ill will?? And Jorge begging and struggling to breathe is being nice?

If everything was going well why did she say she was fearful of her life?

I am surprised they're showing the jurors her arrest.

Sucks to be you, SB.

Is that going to be a point for mistrial? The jury got to see her arrested so it clouded their minds about her ‘innocence’.

I doubt it or the Judge would have pulled it out already. Also it's Owen's responsibility to have filed a motion to prevent it being shown and if he didn't, that's on him and SB who had full access to all evidence held against her whilst she was pro-se.

It could be the case that members of the jury would feel terribly upset at the idea SB is a free agent and not in custody or at least was never detained. Many people are baffled as to why LE didn't hold her on the day of the murder being discovered.

Good question for Peter @ LYK

When I was watching SB's interrogation at the police station and she kept repeating "it was not intentional" it made me think that she or her ex-husband had been on the internet and saw "involuntary manslaughter" as the lesser of all evils for her.

I've given some thought to her son and her ex-husband.
How he even let his son stay with SB & JT is beyond me.
IMO:
Both are much better off not having her in their lives, especially her poor son who has been the real victim long before JT was killed.
Sometimes you have no choice about letting your child stay with a messed up parent. Been there. Depending on where you live it can take a LOT to have the right to keep your child away from such a parent.

Plus, Owens already submitted a pretrial motion to suppress certain parts of that interview and it was granted by the judge so the state had to edit out the parts Owens wanted removed. He didn't mention the arrest portion in his motion.

I don't know what she and Owens/Anderson can conjure up trying to prove she was fighting for her life when all of her interrogations prove otherwise.

I hope not, but you make an excellent point. I was hoping that Cathy Russon w/L&C would weigh in about it.

IMO:
Considering all the documented DV violence that took place between AB & JT and the known drinking along with JT being on probation and in anger therapy/classes I don't see how a family court would refuse a motion by the son's father that the child not be in their home no less partial custody.
SB's ex told LE that SB can't even be relied on to pick up their son from school.
There's always SB having visitations elsewhere with her ex or someone else present.

Her son is a teenager, isn't he? That's a rough age to begin with. Add a video of your drunk mother slurring at her boyfriend who is locked in a suitcase, trying to breathe, and eventually dying... I hope he's getting lots of support. IMO.

From previous hearings, I know Owens was trying to track down old neighbors of Sarah and Jorge's to bring to the stand to talk about how Sarah was such a nice, neighborly lady. Perhaps this elderly/disabled witness isn't an expert but is instead a former neighbor coming to provide a testimony of character for Sarah. Maybe she's afraid of Jorge's family causing trouble for her if she's coming to say bad things about Jorge?
Makes sense. Really anybody associated in any way with JT's family might be afraid to be testifying FOR SB because of the appearance of testifying AGAINST JT. Could it even be a relative of his? This person might not even WANT to testify. Are they under subpoena?

Just finishing up with SB's interrogation on Peter;s video and the detective says "stand up",SB stands, her back to us and Peter said "they're going to arrest her and that's the last the jury heard"
That is where the video stopped you didn't;t see her being cuffed then the female detective is shown on the stand.
Did the jury see her cuffed?

He is now but he was 10 when the incident happened. It had to be hard then and hard now. I agree, I hope he's got a lot of support and is being shielded as much as possible from her court trial drama.

Yes, you're right.
