Because SB stated that the detective was supposed to return her phone to her (SB) and then did not do so because she was feeling sick from being pregnant, so that is why SB went to get her phone at the Orlando PD.

Why did the atty ask if the detective was pregnant when investigating this murder? His questions are waste of time and I'm bored with him.
Because SB said they tricked her into coming to the police station. SB says the witness, who was indeed pregnant, said she was too tired, SB would have to come to the station, to get her phone.

Witness denies saying that.

I know whom I believe. The one who's not SB.

The lawyer is telling CK how wonderful and detailed her reports are but questioning why CK had not made a report about SB coming to attend OC on the 25th about coming to 'collect her phone'. A strange questioning unfolds that appears to imply CK was 'sick' because she was pregnant and that SB has told him some untrue story.

Defence Lawyer: Do you remember having the conversation with Ms B about this meeting that was supposed to take place that you said you could not return the phone to her that day because you were not feeling very good?

CK: That never happened

Defence: Ma'am during this time frame, were you pregnant at that time

CK: Yes I was

Defence: OK. Alright. Well... ANYWAY... Errr... Ms Boone... there was a meeting arranged... is that correct?

CK: For the 25th at 3pm that's correct

Defence: And Ms Boone turned up for that meeting that we saw

CK: Correct

He's trying to impeach her testimony that she told SB she was feeling ill, tricked her to come to the station and why she did not go to SB's home.

Defense trying to pin the witness on a conversation about setting up a time to meet with Sarah. Long train to nowhere.

"Did you tell SB you were too tired.... (to bring her phone to her, she's have to come get it) (because you were pregnant)?

Witness: That. Never. Happened.

Far as I can tell, SB lives in her head, making up storylines as she goes.

SB thinks she's dealing with DoorDash.

Irony, even if LE used a ruse to get SB to come in for an interview, it doesn't change anything!

Sarah didn't have to talk to them. She didn't have to answer a single question.

Seemingly SB lied to her defence and said she was lured to the police station by CK who feigned illness. Whereas it appears the 3pm meeting of the 25th was arranged by mutual agreement.

Regardless it is not unlawful for LE to use certain amounts of deception in order to capture a criminal. So even if they had 'lured' SB to the station by such a deception it wouldn't be unlawful or render the evidence collected inadmissible.

Defense: did you tell SB before she came to the station that you were going to arrest her?

Sidebar

While I have a side salad.

LE doesn't have to tell a suspect that!

Defence is asking if CK specifically stated the following Miranda warning:

'If you decide to answer questions but want to stop and consult with an attorney you may do so.'

CK cannot say for sure but points out this is all on video recording.

Exactly! Not sure why defense is trying to make this an issue when it obviously is not an issue, except to SB who thinks everything is an issue.

So.... the witness was supposed to tell SB before she came to the police station and that she'd be arrested so potentially SB could come with a lawyer?

SB was free to bring a lawyer, a friend (if she could find one), a PopTart or anything else she wanted to bring.

She also could have chosen not to go there at all. They'd have to come looking for her, of course, but she still had that freedom. Until.

Defense really means IMHO to ask SB the question, "why didn't you bring a lawyer? Whyyyyyyy did you talk?"

Asking endless questions about an interview that was recorded. Roll the bean footage.

Finally he's done.

If they already decided to arrest her, they would have to read her rights at the top. Probably doesn't apply here, but it can matter. IMO

Defence is asking CK if she is allowed in law to lie to SB during interview and if she lied to SB. CK states she is allowed to lie to some extent but doesn't recall having done so.

Her stupidity was endless.
Was there no one around her to tell her to keep her mouth shut going forward?
Not even her ex-husband?
Then again knowing the little I know about SB she has all the answers because she's smarter than everyone and is used to bambloozing her way through life.

SB still smirking and smiling as being chained and led from the court room by the security officer who is absolutely never going to smile back, props to that security woman!
