Exactly! Not sure why defense is trying to make this an issue when it obviously is not an issue, except to SB who thinks everything is an issue.

SB probably feels foolish and embarrassed for having voluntarily gone into the police station on a ruse to collect her phone and not realising she was in the frame for a murder investigation. She also probably feels silly for not having exercised her legal right to a free attorney at the very moment LE *asked her* during Miranda warnings if she wanted one. Instead, SB ran her mouth off for 4 hours and incriminated herself. Now she thinks all evidence against her should be scratched because she feels foolish?

It is probably for the best that if anyone wakes up after a hell night of booze to find that your partner is dead inside a case that you have sketchy memories of battering him with a baseball bat in, to exercise Miranda rights and call that attorney. JMO

Does anyone know why neither SB or JT had jobs? I believe Feb 2020 is right when covid was hitting the US so don't think that was the reason. Also, anyone know what kind of jobs they had? I just don't see how they survived in Orlando w/o jobs, living on her alimony.

Her stupidity was endless.
Was there no one around her to tell her to keep her mouth shut going forward?
Not even her ex-husband?
Then again knowing the little I know about SB she has all the answers because she's smarter than everyone and is used to bambloozing her way through life.
That's the special sauce to her personality Cluster A thru F sandwich -- grandiosity paired with zero insight. She thinks she knows everything. She us unaware that other people know things including things she does not know.

She excells at everything? One thing she doesnt e cell at right off -- humility (being humble)! But honestly, find someone who truly excells at any one thing and you'll find it's other people who sing that praise! Excellent mother? What's her criteria? Sometimes remembers to pick him up after school? No Hallmark card for that.

IMO Sarah is enjoying court. I think she thinks today is her moment.

My ears already hurt.

(Still thinking Owens might be bluffing and don't put her on the stand but if he does, buckle up.)

So.... the witness was supposed to tell SB before she came to the police station and that she'd be arrested so potentially SB could come with a lawyer?

SB was free to bring a lawyer, a friend (if she could find one), a PopTart or anything else she wanted to bring.

She also could have chosen not to go there at all. They'd have to come looking for her, of course, but she still had that freedom. Until.

Defense really means IMHO to ask SB the question, "why didn't you bring a lawyer? Whyyyyyyy did you talk?"

Asking endless questions about an interview that was recorded. Roll the bean footage.

Finally he's done.

JMO
Not the PopTart LOL!!

And they didn't even buy boxed wine.
Cigarettes are expensive and SB said that JT ate like a horse then went into how much weight he was losing.

Here it is, move to acquittal.

Counselor thinks he has a good reason... more than just pro forma....

RE 2nd degree murder... he says that LE answering SB who asks why it's happening "it's because Jorge is dead", and that's not enough reason...

Huh?

God I hope you're wrong. We're all circled round the tv waiting for it.

Why is he arguing about the charges relative to the arresting officer? Arraignment is when the charges are read.

Because alcohol?

SB describes how JT did have a job in one of her interviews and that he was distraught to have lost it. Also ex husband BB mentions that JT used to have a job in the hardware store.

SB took the video that is that MORE THAN ENOUGH reason. And she was so drunk she forgot about the video.

Alcohol is what I was thinking, too.

Also anger isn't hatred... so.... no 2nd degree, Defense just wants manslaughter

State is ready. Defines the elements of the chargers, check. Uses her own words to highlight them.

Court finds the State establishes the elements.

Judgment for aquittal, denied.

And hate wasn't SB's motive, she was just angry.

Owens now needs time to talk with Sarah for ten minutes.

  • #599
Well done by the prosecution.

Defence is more or less arguing JT killed himself by entering into a suitcase and dying in there and that it was not due to a depraved mind of SB or unlawful behaviour of SB...
