Thanks.
imo:
Her lack of investigative abilities to form a diagnosis discredits her conclusions.
I can't listen to much more of this biased testimony. This woman is a disgrace to the profession and her snarky attitude is still making itself known. Enough already.

In his defense, he shares a child with her. I'm sure he's doing what he does in an attempt to stabilize her for the child's sake. Terrible spot to be in. Courts aren't always sympathic nor proactive.

Bottom line is Brian let his son stay with 2 violent drunks half of every week.

My takeaway, quoth the witness: Sarah is not aware that she's inconveniencing people.

Truth and understatement all in one.

I don't like it either. But it's a hard system to navigate. IME it's hard to get a court order to fix that.

Hmm SB's psychological expert witness confirms she believes SB lied, about something, can't recall exactly what but fair to say SB has been defined as a liar by every single form of authority thus far.

Wow..what a sick joke.

She didn't review Brian
Their son
SB's text communications
SB's jail records.

Only reviewed someone named "Melissa"
Who is she?
AB's BFF and drinking buddy? lol

Melissa was the apartment manager of Sarah and Jorge's complex.

SB is a living walking trauma to all around her.
I dunno. SB seems to do well with her inmate posse. At least no write-ups have made it out to MSM or YT and with her trial underway -- we'd know about it. JMO

ETA: I think this might be why SB rejected that generous plea offer. I think she's comfortable in confinement where she has a captive audience of dozens of "JT's" that she can control, manipulate, and gaslight. JMO

SB lied to her about not being intoxicated on the night of JT's murder. She lied about only poking him with the bat, versus the injuries JT sustained by the bat per his autopsy report and photos viewed by the psychologist expert witness. I'm sure there were more examples.. MOO

I sincerely hope the state has some rockstar rebuttal witnesses waiting in the wings.

No it's not.
Call CPS and also file in family court, that's all Brian had to do including not letting his son be at their house or near AB if she's drinking and/or ask the judge for supervised visits for her.
When it comes to the safety of a child and that child is knowingly exposed to danger a judge will give an emergency protection order for the child until an investigation is completed.
CPS will talk with Brian and his son, ask neighbors etc.

JT was on some kind of probation for violence and in anger therapy and I will assume that him NOT drinking was part of his restrictions?

There's isn't public access to family court records beyond showing whether a case is open or closed so we don't know what happened, but there is a lengthy docket for them in family court indicating *something* was in process and court hearings were happening. It's possible Brian was doing all of these things.

It appears the Defense is trying to admit evidence around the law.

  • #1,294
What are they arguing?

  • #1,295
Judge does not accept the two documents (orders of protection).

Owens is arguing for more time to check on a record. Judge is delightfully accommodating.

Judge finds they are relevant now because one order was on place at the time of the incident, IIUC. The State withdrew his hearsay objection --

Color me confused.

Hearsay is generally not admissible in any Court! Seems the defense was trying to use Judicial Notice of "no contact order" as a work around but the Court is not buying it.

Defense now going for the "Custodian of Records" to act as the witness to cure the hearsay witness. State withdrawing their objection to eliminate calling a Clerk to testify. Court admitting the two 2019 N/C Orders but not sure if they get any further than defense Exhibits.

So she had an order of protection against him but was not abiding by it?
And this is supposed to show that she was scared? Sounds like it's just her using the law when it suits her.

Just like she called LE to have him arrested and then she went down and bailed him out the next day, on more than one occasion.
