Is there any proof he ever had his hand out? I didn't see all of the medical examiner's testimony. Is there a possibility he was always zipped all the way, and he was bruised through the case along with the rest of his bruises?
Fair question.

Maybe she made up the bat to cover for throwing/dropping him down the stairs.

There's a word for what comes between a bat and crazy.

She cost JT his life. And such an awful way to die.

We could argue whether it rises to the level of malice and forethought, but IMO no question, depraved and indifferent.

Just got on this case recently and finally caught up to today.

The police body cam should be required viewing like Clockwork Orange for all young men on spotting crazy. Hysterical from the mouth down, dead eyes. So creepy.

This is an obvious case but I’m actually very interested in the politics and nuance of the verdict. It’s really interesting.

I wish the state could have asked SB why she didn’t leave if she was afraid. Done, case closed. What else matters? She needed to be boxed in on answering that because there is no validity to staying when your life is at stake.
Answer is cycle of abuse, which is a real thing IF you establish she was a victim of Battered Spouse. Asking the question would be helping her. Strategy should be to show that she's equally the aggressor, if not the primary, which the State did with all the videos from her past. She's toast IMO MOO

I don't think it's even believable that he would have got angry inside the suitcase.

He said "I can't breathe". A person who can't get air, and is very tightly confined so that they can't fill their lungs and has their face pressed against their knees, and is struggling and pushing to get out is frightened and in panic and pleading to be saved from death, with physiological symptoms of suffocation from reduced oxygen. He wouldn't have energy or time to waste emotion on her, anger that's not going to help him, or threaten the person who is the only person who can come to his rescue, IMO. His thoughts would be entirely on how to survive. Anger could come after for having been put through such an ordeal.

Those videos were VERY telling. I agree

Is SB usually at the defense table when the trial begins airing on TV.
Just tuned in and she's not there for the start @ 8:30 am.

Courtroom is live.

SB had not come in.

Early start for today to address assorted issues outside the presence of the jury.

I wondered if getting HER there a half hour earlier might have been a logistical hardship for the jail. Maybe that's why she's not seated yet.

Or there's a wordy argument somewhere off canera over eyeliner.

She probably has to arrive whenever her transport usually gets to the court.

Anyone else think that the jurors went home with SB's videoed documentations seized in their brains?
The videos sealed her fate. moo

Bye, girl. moo

@StephBuffamonte

The suitcase murder will resume at 8:30am this morning. We expect the state & defense to go over jury instructions and then closing arguments should be underway this afternoon.

So this is the first time in all the years that SB has been housed in the jail that she's looking at getting new lodgings by the first of the month. Hehe
