Finally a mention by the judge of the filed motion for a hearing on the defense's financial conflict of interest issue!

Owens, Henderson, and Beck all deny any conflict of interest.

Curiouser & curiouser... So did Banfield start this rumor or was it a podcaster? At least we know there was no Motion filed by the Prosecution about this.

Also how old is SB?
I don't know but I aged 10 years during the Defense closing argument.

I dread an appeal but this judge dotted every I. With any luck, she'll fade into oblivion, writing endless letters to nowhere.

Why? Where I come from, a slash in you leg requiring a dozen stitches is assault (with a deadly weapon) in the first degree -- punishable by prison up to 5 years. There's no record of JT doing prison time here. MOO
I thought it was far-fetched that someone would stab themself. That was no small scar on her leg.

What are everyone's guesses on how long the jury will be out?
2 hours is my guess.
Don't most juries take a vote after appointing the foreperson and go from there?

Even if they have a unanimous verdict tonight will they want to get that to the judge and do whatever else they need to do tonight before leaving and say Bye Bye Sarah?
Leave the courthouse 11-11:30-?
Or wait until Monday morning for the verdict.

How was SB a victim of BSS if she had to 'be the parent'? SHE had the home, the car, the money, the keys... and JT didn't.

My thoughts are why didn’t she go to the hospital and press charges if he stabbed her?

I know how you feel. I've been watching three trials at one time. I don't recommend it. I've not gotten anything done this week.

Attorney Jay was great on rebuttal. Passionate and sincere. The law is on Jorge's side. Jury aren't obligated to believe her, and he connected why they needn't to indisputable facts in the case. He does really well when he goes with what he knows to be right. By comparison Owens, just like his client, comes off as calculated, like a performance.

I think this will be guilty on the murder count. Sarah Boone is not entitled to kill. The law applies to her just like anybody else and she is going to find that out soon..maybe today.

The jury I served on, we appointed the foreperson first, then took a vote to see where we stood. The vote was 9 guilty 3 nonguilty. You could easily figure out the three before we even voted. One twenty-one male who didn't know anything about anything, a twenty-three year old beautician who admitted she was a victim before, she just omitted that during juror questioning and a pastor. Now these jurors were supposed to be able to sentence the defendant to death if found guilty. In the jury room the pastor announced that he could not do that. It was a real job bringing them over to a unanimous decision.

Wow, that experience sure was interesting.
Was what the beautician admitted to you jurors asked about during voir dire related to the defendant's crime?
If so that could be reason for a mistrial.
Did the pastor say during voir dire that he could
condemn him to death?
Do you keep updated on the defendant?

Know what else? JT didn't get a chance to realize he could do better.

I am convinced SB did what she did to stop him from leaving. Classic presentation of HDV.

SB stopped him from improving anything about his life.
Granted he was a big boy and is responsible for his decisions.
He needed at the minimum 6 months in a court ordered rehab with a protection order against SB.

This does make sense reflecting now….. and someone else said it up thread….. (apologies as I won’t find it)….. anyway, so that suitcase supposedly contained a few items - JT medication and his birth certificate. Probably some of the first things I would grab too. If I was leaving. JT deserved so much better. So much. And I hope those videos many of which played yesterday IIRC hold on the minds of the jurors. They spoke volumes IMO.

And thinking even further…… her ‘mashed potatoes’……. bet that was her idea. I best stop there on that one. Mashed eh? On the potatoes was it? SMH. MOO

Thanks for this info, I love hearing from jurors.
How did you choose the foreperson and were you okay with who it was?

My sister is sitting on a Vermont Grand Jury for 18 months, it's over next May.
Huge difference though but a person's woes do begin in the GJ room.

Yes.
His BC was the smoking gun.
He's heard saying what she did with it and he couldn't do anything w/o it..paraphrasing.
