Alcohol has ruined so many lives. It sounds like he was abusive to her and in the end she committed the ultimate abuse being murder.
I don't understand why no one called Child Protective services about the child. :(
Alcohol did not make this woman. She has not had a drink in 4 years yet she is still a narcissist and psychopath, IMO. To read all her letters to the court is mind-bogging, (available online). She has no shame, and is plain evil in my book. Something seriously wrong with her. I feel sorry for anyone that has to deal with her. She is clearly dangerous.

I truly feel for her poor son. Hope he gets some support. And to think one of the first things she said to LE after seeing the vid she took of Jorge dying was she was a great mother. "You dont KNOW me".

This guy was doing camera cover. He stood right in the frame to prevent any close contact.

I suppose he didn’t want the close up images of defeat showing up everywhere.

Is that the defense counsel Beck is it? (Other than Owens and Richardson that is?)

If so, that is the same one that tried to enter an objection just before the jury was sent to deliberate IIRC - questioning that jurors were allowed to have their notes in the jury room. And he tried to prevent that being allowed. State countered swiftly that it was the law. Judge agreed.

SMH on that actions if both are the same attorney. And I shall stop posting any further on that. Suffice to say, their client is right where she belongs until sentencing. Exactly where she has earned the right to be; by her actions and inactions. MOO

There was abuse towards each other and videos shown at trial that SB herself filmed show her as the instigator quite a few times with threats and vile berating rhetoric.
Her ex-husband BB also claimed that she was a violent drunk towards him.
So SB was a violent drunk before JT came into her life.
That's how she rolled.

She's also a high conflict, manipulative, dishonest, entitled, way off beam being after nearly five years in prison with no alcohol whatsoever.

For as long she has access to a pen.

There's no cure for who she is.

I think her case number is closed now so the courts and officials no longer have to open or read her correspondence, they can't. Until it goes to Appeal, if she has legit grounds for appeal.

Just waiting to see if SB will stay true to form and send her usual correspondence to the court. You know, the ridiculous requests for this, that or whatever nonsense her rabid mind conjures up.
SB is probably already writing Judge Kraynick that it's unconstitutional to send her to Lowell Correctional which is where most of Florida's female prisoners go, it houses around 3,000 inmates.
Great new home for AB too.

So..she'll demand that he send her to 'Homestead Correctional' where she can take up "Bee Keeping."

SB's smirky half-smile mug shot.

Re the smirk, she looks genuinely happy in that latest mugshot.

Is it possible she's OK with prison for the long haul? That her health and mental health are more stable in prison and her accommodation, food, attention needs are met? Why would she want to leave to live in a world that she struggles with, where people can't bear her company and avoid her, with the added stress of being a murderer.

She's been in jail and has no clue what's ahead of her in prison.
Everything I've read about Lowell, where she'll most likely go, is freaking frightening.
SB lacks ALL self-awareness so everything you listed about her living in the outside world she would think you were talking about another person.

I was just reading about lacking self awareness and came across this.
I burst out laughing.

"People who lack self-awareness are probably happier and they are not even aware of that."

The Dunning-Kruger-Boone effect.

She must have heard tell of big girl prison from all her time in jail surely? I suspect some poor souls are in and out of the system like a revolving door - jail, prison, streets - loop. Or she was so convinced prison doesn't apply to her? She didn't seem fearful of going there. Would she be segregated or isolated? I guess she'll be targeted by people who want to bring her down a few rungs of attitude. I suppose a lot of people in prison have done terrible things too but she's got a personality anyone could hate.

I don't know if even in a big house like Lowell the women can watch trials on TV ?
Her torturing JT to a horrific death may not even fly with women who are in prison for killing their abuser?
Then we have the racism in prison within the population and she being a white woman who tortured a Latino man to death.
Lotsa triggers for other inmates besides her haughty, arrogant entitled personality.

She'd probably give it try! Speaking generally, I believe she would currently be viewing herself as a victim of miscarriage of justice, so moo she will deem her ongoing incarceration unconstitutional no matter which prison.

I imagine for sure Judge Kraynick is being apportioned his share of the blame for what she almost certainly considers her unjust conviction, along with prosecutors, her own counsel, the jurors, the detectives etc etc...could even have multiple letters in progress in regards to her upcoming sentencing. Moo

Nope. She's impervious.

She felt no shame, no empathy watching herself on record. She'll be a thorn in the side of anyone who will let her. Likely she'll rachet it up on her son too, blaming him for her lot in life. Ludicrous but it's what she does. How do you deal with a SB? You don't or you do it from a remarkable physical and/or emotional distance.

It's best for everyone if she stays behind bars till the end of time.

JMO
Yeah, I agree. I think she is just going to go even further in projecting the blame outwards.

Owen's will probably try to counsel her on how to behave during sentencing, but I'm curious about whether she may actually attempt to argue with the Judge. I feel pretty sure she is going to essentially say in one form or another, that the court/ jury got it wrong and she hasn't earned prison. Goes without saying imo, victim impact statements won't touch her. And I can't even recall seeing her pretending sadness or remorse over JT's death. As you say, seems doubtful that she can feel anything much for anyone else. Jmo

SB blames the judge that the jurors didn't like her looks.

Just like Arias I think she will try to get even with LE, judges and prosecutors.

If AB isn't sentenced to life she can work off one out of every 3 yrs if she's what Owens would call a good "girl". lol

'What is the 85% rule in Florida?'

'Satisfaction of 85% includes time served in the county jail as credited by the sentencing court. These inmates are eligible to earn up to 10 days per month incentive gain time. This gain time is earned until the tentative release date reaches the date equal to 85% of the sentence imposed.

Poor SB. Here, she can't even blame Judge Kraynick because he actually granted her request to look styled and glam at trial and the kibosh for some of her requests actually came from the Jail warden. While I was not surprised that the Court deferred to the Warden's request, it was not lost on me that her defense was silent -- they obviously did not want to argue this on the record or give the prosecution an opportunity to respond. I later learned that SB was not exactly the model inmate and has several write-ups that otherwise would impact or infringe on the beauty routine she was seeking. JMO

That’s county jail. The judge said he was required to abide by a 22.5 year minimum.

Thank you!
I feel better.
I'm still confused about the no parole in Florida with a life sentence if that is true or not and would the 85% served apply to her if she gets like 35 yrs for example and not life.
