Did SB have any relatives or friends in the courtroom?
There was a young Asian woman sitting behind the defense table that SB would smile at but I don't know if she was part of the defense team.

Curious as to who would write letters to Judge Kraynick in SB's favor asking for leniency.

Also was it only Ms. Walker who testified for her?

You're a wealth of information, thank you.

Ahhh, a lover, I will refrain from commenting on how SB grosses me out.

It's not surprising nor would it be surprising if one day we hear that SB petitions the court to get married.

My suspicion is that SB's survival tactic in prison would be to ally with the biggest loudest most violent threat and for this she will need to trade her skills.

After all, SB is nothing but a coward and she's tiny in stature, light weight, and has zero weapons or suitcases in prison so she won't be able to fight or murder her way out of attacks. The jail staff also swiftly identified that she's dishonest and manipulative so they don't do her dirty work or buy into her schemes.

What can she offer to trade? Sex. Letter writing skills. Hoarded cheese slices.

LOL:
In SB's defense painting lessons and 101 speedy puzzle making.
Remember the 1,000 piece puzzle she and Jorge put together that day/night with only 1 piece missing?

And hoard she will. Cheese slices, staples, anything she can use to manipulate, coerce, buy.

She'll be fine. She'll be convinced she doesn't belong there, mother of the year, quintessential soccer mother, better than all the other mothers in prison who belong there. She will rewrite history, probably in her well-developed comic sans font, but she'll fool no one. She'll adapt. It's not like murder broke up her illustrious career. Free loading IMO is familiar for her. She'll learn the system, add her own rules, find new victims, find new allies, and provoke disorder.

That, she excells at.

I agree with the above sentiments. I don't know how common it is for the female prison population in the USA to have secret stashes of alcohol (hooch / moonshine / toilet wine) -or- illicit smuggled drugs -or- heavy duty meds doled out by the psych teams... but ultimately SB is a substance addict in addition to her other personality issues and if she's under the influence and disorderly in big girl prison, it doesn't bode well.

Yeah she plays systems and people. She's a player. She'll play the prison system and take hostages of vulnerable, elderly, and disabled people, weaponizing others. It's a terrible shame for anyone in prison who isn't a sociopath that they're trapped alongside these types of dangerous characters like SB.

If she never recorded her crime, she could have walked. Maybe not even initially arrested and deemed a drunken accident he did to himself! I shudder to think how many others are might be getting away with similar crimes. MOO

She made it impossible for the police to not do anything. JMO but I think they were easily going to do nothing. Heartbreaking if so.

SB is now a big girl, though. Maybe 150 lbs? And she'll keep getting bigger.

If she keeps hoarding cheese slices and ordering pop tarts and cookies from commissary!

Same thing with the murder of Ahmaud Arbery .

The welcomed idiot Roddie Bryan got him and his buddies life w/o parole and he got life with parole + federal hate charges /convictions by giving his cell phone video of the chase and shooting of Arbery to the older/father McMichael who gave it to a radio host guy.

IIRC: He and the older McMichael thought the footage would exonerate Travis McMichael, the shooter.

The men might have walked free had a leaked video not prompted calls for attention to Arbery's death.

It just occurred to me that the reason Sarah wanted former neighbor Pearl Walker to testify as a character witness for her was because Sarah had at least one racist remark in the texts that the state would be going over and Sarah wanted to be like “See? I have a black friend! Not racist! KNOW THAT!”

So far, she doesn’t seem to have learned not to antagonize anybody. And the notes from the jail suggest she antagonizes CO’s all the time. And so far, she’s had almost 5 years to figure this out.
I agree. I think she’s a manipulator, but not a “good” manipulator. If she were, she wouldn’t be where she is. Her arrogance and self righteousness would, I think, tend to keep her from making string bonds with other prisoners, or getting along quietly with the guards. She’ll be demanding new guards just like she demanded new lawyers.

Murdaugh case as well. If Alex’s voice wasn’t on the video, it would have been a LOT easier to claim he wasn’t there.
