Wondering if anyone ever called in Sandra Gann?

I never did, not sure if Carl did or not? I think he should... they look alike to me, timeframe is off though, but she hasn't been identified yet so I think it's worth a shot.

Throwing this out there too, even though there may be a few too many inconsistencies to be a match.

She has a tattoo, which I don't see with the Doe, but if she was partially skeletonized, perhaps that can be explained. Still, I think that's usually not going to be the case. She has no breast implants that are listed, but if she disappeared in 1997 that's explainable. Also, the height is off, she is listed as 5'4 on the high end and the Doe is 5'5" on the low. Altogether probably not a match, the more I think about it.

From Doe:

Circumstances of Disappearance
Gordon was last seen in Watertown, New York on September 10, 1997.
She has a history of running away, but in the past, she has maintained contact with her family via a phone call home every couple of weeks. This time, there were no phone calls. She left behind a 3 year old son.
Jennifer can be considered a drifter of sorts having spent time in the Carolina's and Florida.

here is an interesting possible match. Yvonne Katerina Belcher was 25 when last seen in 2000 in Florida and had breast implants. that last fact is not in her Namus profile but is at NAMPN:

http://www.nampn.org/cases/belcher_yvonne.html

on the down side Yvonne was listed as 5'0" to 5'4" with blonde hair. not sure if that was her natural color.

I can't say where Yvonne was from 2000-2007.

if the implants bore a 1998 date Yvonne could have had them done two years before she vanished.

So dumb question. Don't breast implants come with a number on them that could be traced back to the manufacturer and the surgeon who put them in?

Usually. But these ones didn't.

Usually. But these ones didn't.

That's really unfortunate. I remember watching an old episode of HBO's Autopsy awhile back and Dr. Baden was explaining how they identified the skeletal remains of a woman found near Atlantic City, NJ based on the serial number on her breast implants.

Jumping back in, here is some more info on Heather Johnson which made me think circumstances would explain distance factor:

http://www.amw.com/fugitives/case.cfm?id=79714

FBI: Stripper Flees After Murder Plot
Heather Jean Johnson bonded out of jail in Upper Marlboro Maryland and became a fugitive in the summer of 1999. She's been missing ever since and the FBI need your tips to spur their investigation.

Clark Road is enough a main drag and the area located in a light industrial zone, that its likely a dump site.

I know this is a long shot but this girl, Ellen Linda Akers, disappeared in FL in 1981 so would be about the right age. I wonder if she was a run away after all? The age progression photo looks similar although Ellen's eye's appear a bit further apart, both had dental work and metal fillings. The height could be right too as Ellen was 14 when she disappeared and was 5'4" so could have grown an inch or two.

Here's the age progression pic of Ellen. I do think the eyes are off but you never know with a drawing.

Even though there were no tracking numbers on the implants, the way they were inserted is significant. According to the AMW article, Implants Could Be Clue To Jane Doe's Identity:

"Police also say the implants were done in a rather rare procedure -- subglandular -– where placement of the implant is above the pectoral muscles but below the mammary gland. It is a less complicated surgery, usually with less pain and a quicker recovery, but most surgeons prefer other methods."

The saline implants, Mentor Smooth Round Moderate Style 1600, were manufactured in 1998, before implants had codes that could be tracked. Breast implants are generally used in the year of their manufacture.

Namus lists 23 exclusions but a few names have duplicates or triplicates on the list so the actual total is 19 on Namus. Our websleuths’ list has 21 names on it. I have reread the thread several times, and it is a bit confusing as to which people have actually been called in to the case investigators. I suggest that if a member calls in a name, to post a quick note to the thread to confirm it has been done. Of our list of 21 possibles, only 2 are on the official exclusion list (Main and Tammy Walker). Right now, I am very confused as to which possibles have actually been called in to LE.

The older version had her nose slightly off center. This one is more symmetrical. Who wants to volunteer to submit?
