You very well might be right. The two or three times i have been on Topix, it auto set the location as Troy...which is a good 50 miles away, as the crow flies.

When I post on Topix, it shows a town that is miles away from where I live. I like it that way too.

There was a connection posted on Thread 1 (last night) indicating that SB had POA over a Dedrick guy and that it was dissolved in the last couple of years - you know I should really go look up the post from Thread 1 .. but this is the gist of it.

I wonder if the dissolution of the POA had anything to do with the letter to the Gov? Maybe SB was pizzed off because she couldn't control RD's money anymore?

I'll help you look for that Elpher - could be even more interesting at the second look....

ETA: It looks like the POA was dissolved in 2005 - so I'm gonna say it probably was not connected to this case. I am not going to post the info here because it looks like the original poster deleted the post for some reason.

It would seem to me that this was premeditated if she in fact took this child. The big fat letter she wrote to the Govenor seals it for me, already putting blame and pointing to the family about being so unfit. Setting them up to make her move.
What are we to believe just all of a sudden she has caring feelings and concerns for this child when she had none for her husband's children, one of whom has never been found ? :furious:

I certaintly hope and pray Shannon is alive.

She was smartish about it too. All CPS communications are private, and cannot be disclosed unless the child is declared dead. Sending it to the governor instead of to CPS guaranteed it would be released...especially since there are warnings on every FL government website that the information is available under the freedom of information act and if you don't want your information divulged under court order, don't email them.

Watch this woman, she is starting to seem much smarter than she...uh...(I will not bash, I will not bash, I will not bash.)

im curious if SB was paid by the state.....is there a way to find that out? has anyone looked to see if SB has any business license's for child care or home health care....etc?

She would have had to have been licensed by DCF

I haven't posted on Topix, but those advertisements that are "directed" at your location, like this Scranton mother lost 47lbs in 1 month. I am no where near a Scranton, but I guess my IP provider is?

I would venture to say that SB wasn't paid a dime to watch Shannon. She probably did it "out of the goodness of her heart" (note the sarcasm). The more I hear about this, the more it sounds like it was pre-meditated for a LONG time.

If she is Shannon's great-aunt, she didn't need to be licensed. And I don't know how it is in Florida, or even Oregon for that matter, but I know in Calif. you can babysit for one family without being licensed at all.

If SB is the great aunt she may have just kept the baby at different times and not charged anything. Just because she babysat the child does not mean she was paid.

I wouldn't be surprised if SB just "volunteered" posing as a nice, helpful neighbor. If Shannon's parents just moved into this neighborhood fairly recently (as has been reported), it's quite possible this arrangement hasn't been going on longer than that. SB's bizarre e-mail to Governor Crist was apparently sent on August 12. SB seems like the kind of person who'd be quick to spot a vulnerable mentally disabled couple with a cute little baby, and start hatching schemes. I haven't seen any firm timeline of when the Dedricks moved to this home, or how far away their previous residence was.

No way in He77 the state would pay her if she is not licensed.

i know here in my state....you can be a relative and get paid by the state ....you also dont have to be licensed......there are also agency's you can work for..... they get paid from the state....ect....

for child care
for home health care.....etc....

well when my daughter and her dad picked up tina a couple of months ago and took her to her home....my daughter called me on the way home...and said "mom, this lady has no business with this baby" i just called daughter and asked how all this happened (refresh my memory) my daughter and her dad was at her sisters house in chipley...and a knock came at the door...she said tina stated she was suppose to be a parenting classes across the street...but she had the wrong day...asked could they take her home...daughter and dad agreed...and daughter called to say that she was really worried about this lady...she also stated at that time...this girl walks the streets of chipley alot...let's pray people...
