Do we know what sort of neighborhood this is? Middle class? All residential? Not that it matters necessarily, just trying to get a picture here. Do we know their address? I would love to get a look on google earth of the area.

Search for Somer Thompson Expanded to 5-mile Radius

The search area was expanded to 3 miles early this morning, and just before 11 this morning, law enforcement expanded the search to a 5-mile radius.

Within that radius, according to the Clay County Sheriff's Office, are 87 sex offenders, and each is being checked out.

Deputies want people to search everywhere around their homes for the missing girl. In fact, they say several groups organized on their own and are expected to help with the search Tuesday.

My notes from press conference:

Scores searching. Door to door searches. Search area expanded to 5 miles. . FDLE, FBI, local sheriff&#8217;s office involved. Search dogs brought in from many areas for grid searches. Jacksonville police providing men for arm to arm search.

Area of SO interview and home searches expanded. Everyone cooperated.

Many new leads.

Following up on leads of earlier suspicious incident of 10 days ago. Nothing to show connection at this time. Mother of that child and the good Samaritan both at press conference. Mother said daughter was where she was not supposed to be. People in blue-colored four door car believed to be a Nissan called girl to car and told her to get in. Reportedly, woman told child that her mother told her to take her home. Daughter may have fallen on bike and good Samaritan escorted her home. Woman had dark hair, possibly Hispanic. Witness/Samaritan said car (woman driving with two males in car) pulled sideways in a driveway and she couldn&#8217;t see the tag. She was suspicious because of way car was parked, girl was crying, and girl pulled bicycle in front of her car. She told girl she would follow her as she took her bike home. Car disappeared afterwards.

But, she does say proud parent. That's all I can see on her page that suggests she is a mom.

I know her address was posted last night, but I can't find it now. However, I did find that she was walking near West Gano Avenue and Debarry Avenue, which another poster said last night wasn't very residential, but there was an apartment complex that wasn't in the greatest of areas.

My first thought was that this bothered me. Why wouldn't she have pictures of her children? However, some people don't want pics of their kids on the internet, and this I fully understand.
