Wasn't he the eclectic murderer? Boys, girls, rapes, murders? I always thought he had murderous impulses while in the womb! What a sick, twisted pervert.

Yep that is the guy.

Eye of the Beast
The True Story of Serial Killer James Wood

Terry Adams, Mary-Brooks Mueller, Scott Shaw

James Wood is not like other serial killers. He has no victim preference, no sexual preference. A sexual psychopath, he will use, assault, rape and kill at any time. Yet, he is a master at pretending to be normal.

In the summer of 1992, Wood brought a reign of terror to Pocatello, Idaho, where he murdered Jeralee Underwood, the eleven-year old daughter of a devout Mormon family. The authors -- who include the lead investigator on the case and a forensic psychologist -- take you into the realm of one of the nation's most unusual serial killers.

Everyone I knew that lived in Park City thought Dennis Radar was a weirdo. a girl from work said her husband almost got ina fight with him over thier dogs. Dennis Radar was NOT known as a nice guy.

Thanks Shadow - I guess I didn't know those things. I just heard he was husband and preacher of sorts...

The reason that I think this was likely a dumpster instead of a residential trash can is based on personal experiences around my town. Not saying all towns are this way, but around here if you put anything near 65 lbs in a trash can, it'll definitely be left behind by the trash collection team. I've had them leave behind a can with (2) 25lb bags of play sand in it. Our weight limit is 45 lbs. If they think it;s even slightly over that, they leave it.

Also, let's say one could manage to fit a 7 year old, 65lb girl, into a trash can... I don't think you'd be able to fit much more, and that would be a high risk of being noticed. A can being that oddly over weight, someone would be likely to be watching to see what would be coming out as they dumped, or even inspecting it prior to dumping.

Sure, she could have been in a bag or wrapped, and this could definitely have been a residential trash can, but I think it's far more likely it was a small dumpster like one you'd see in a condo/apt community. Trash day for my town is the same for residential and also apt. dumpsters, maybe it's different elsewhere though. I do not know for a fact that Orange Park picks up both the same day.

It could very well be either at this point, but I have to lean towards dumpster based on what we know.

LOL.... I have had my trash left behind a big RED sticker that I was over the weight limit. So- totally agree with you on that issue.

I still keep thinking dumpster = someone that knows dumpsters or has access to a dumpster - or the landfill access through their business.

I see everyone is still looking at this guy down the street from Somer's. I just got back online and haven't caught up on any reading...too impatient:crazy:

When I was researching him last night, I saw that he is a realtor. What better job to have...access to empty homes. May I ask if anyone has dug any other interesting tidbits about him? I just don't get why he knows that Somer was always looking for someone to play with, how she acted, etc. etc. He's an older guy...doesn't appear he has kids or grandkids her age...how would he know this?? TIA

I don't know but sometimes people just make up stuff that sounds good to get their 15 minutes of fame. I saw this happen when some teenagers in our area had a wreck and were killed. Someone got on there and made up all these stories about one of them. It would have been believeable but she kept calling her by the wrong name.

I don't know why, but he's my favorite too. I did some research on him... he's a licensed realtor, and he owns a stand-alone appliance company. Its registered to him, same address as we have.

He owns/owned a house at 7937 westport bay drive in Jacksonville- He sued to evict the tenants (and won), but there was a foreclosure action on the mortgage brought by the bank in September 2008. The action was against him and his "unknown spouse" - but that could be a formality done by all banks to make sure there is no secret wife with an interest in the property.

The house on Horton lists him, his deceased father, and his 89 year old mother: Edna.

He's lived in Middleburg, Keystone Heights, and Ponte Vedra Beach FL, and Paw Creek, NC. Relatives are listed as Virginia L. O., Ginger L. O., Heather M. O., and V. R. O.

In one of the listings of those towns, its just him and Ginger listed so I thought it might be his wife?

I couldn't find any real "dirt" - my internet is acting up but I'll check out tax/divorce records later or tomorrow.

I am sorry and don't hate me for this.... but I feel the father is hurting sure it was his daughter..

That said I feel he will milk this for all it's worth to get the attention dt has gotten and to fill his pockets.. He has tasted some of the attention and I am sure would like more.. I don't mean to sound hard or mean.. but my gosh it's been 2yrs since he has contact with the children..

Something is going on there we don't know about... No way he could afford to get lawyer to take those children from dt unless one stepped up pro bono...

He didn't have money or transportation to florida the way it was..

I hope he just goes back to n.c. and mourns and stops this game his playing..

2 years for a child to not see a parent hurts them badly... why would a parent do this??? then act like all is hunky dorry .. I don't think so.. I am thinking of the children sorry If I have offended anyone but the children come first and that was wrong ..
what if this man were deployed to Iraq for one of those two years and hospitalized for most of the second? We just don't know yet. It has been reported that he is an Iraq war vet and here he sits in a wheelchair.

I also did not hear reported (forgive me if I am wrong) that he didn't have the money to travel... I heard that a van with special wheel chair access was DONATED to him once his child's body was found.

Does anyone remember who is the poster who knows R. O'cain personally?

I don't recall them posting here much, and I do remember that post from yesterday when we heard he was the first to hug Mom.

So - before noonish yesterday's thread is my best guess. :)

We've gone in so many different directions that I'm having trouble mentally filing everything away. Can someone refresh my memory about where the dog lost Somer's scent? Was it at Deberry and Gano?

Also, some clever poster discovered that Andrew C (with the two teen boys) doesn't live at the home with the camper next to 1080 Gano. The appraiser's office lists the owner as Coward Amy Christine (not sure which is the first name, but I assume it's Amy). When I use the white pages, I get a C. E. Thomas living there. Does anyone know how I might nail it down a bit more?

TIA!

Since Dad has not seen the children for 2 years, and their Divorce is not even final, how long has the divorce been pending? ALSO-- how long has Mom been living with the new B/F while this divorce has been pending?

The divorce could have been pending for his return from Iraq... hey?

Same here (have had trash left with the "too heavy" sticker). I agree with the dumpster/landfill theory.

Thanks SO much for bringing me up to date. I want to try to find houses that he may currently have listed in the immediate vicinity. With a job as a realtor he can easily place himself out there for people (AND CHILDREN) to become familiar with him and have a reason to hang around where ever he likes with an excuse. Also...if he is living alone or w/an elderly parent...another plus for him. I just have a real strange feeling about this guy. He's become SO involved with the case. Thanks again :)

Okay, I am gonna take some blame here. I am the one who said they personally knew that person. I COULD be wrong but I am not sure. They kept interjecting into our postings to explain who that guy was and I think assumed from how they said it that they knew him personally. I think assumed from how they said it that they knew him personally. Because up until that time, we never had a name from media. However, last night his name finally popped up in media.

Edit to ADD: However, there is a poster here who claimed to know ICKIE personally.

Next, as far as the first person in line, that is Ickie and a completely different guy. Thre was speculation that Sick and Ick were of same person. But they are not.

I meant to go and change my post with all my suspects on them. Do you want me to repost all the pics??? LOL

Great thought on the realtor angle. I wonder if they are checking ALL vacant homes in the 5 mile radious - I would!!

  • #714
Why did they say this was a mistake in the police report? Memory bank here is low on bytes... :) Can you jog my memory ??

I'll have to go back and look for the post. But I remember that "someone" identified the man as CWG and he appeared named on the police report; later, it was said that it was a mistaken identity.
I always wondered if the "someone" could have been SP or DT. He is a RSO who failed to register in Clay Co., and then he turned up registering in Texas where family lives.
Let me look......

nursebee I guess you missed my post a few threads back about military vets...

Military vets are not above the law just like LE or doctors or teacher's etc..

I am thankful for all who have served our country and protected us.. Don't get me wrong there..

I know for a fact military vets are child molesters too... I know 2 of them personally ..

Can Not let the fact of someone's employment no matter what it is get in the way of a murder investigation...

I am not saying he is one . NO .. I am not...

Stop and think of all the military lately that have been murdering woman ,even the women are in military...

Just making a point no one is above the law ... if they so choose..

As I recall from yesterday's posts someone personally knew Ickie and someone also knew who O'cain was from the video pick. They gave us his name. Don't recall them saying anything specific about O'Cain other than he was a neighbor of the Thompson's. But he lives pretty far down the street from them....as I recall the address is in the seventeen thirties...on Horton. Thompson's is 1706 I think. If I can't post this tell me and I'll edit...I'm new here :(

I think someone knows Ickie - not O'Cain.

That's what I remember.

Hello everyone!! This is my first post. I've been lurking this Thread since this weekend. Okay, here is my take- do any of you remember the Carla Brucia case in Sarasota, FL? The little girl who was kidnapped at a car wash, and later murder. Well, I got to thinking after the Sheriff’s press conference from this morning. He stated that someone may have damage to their vehicle or change in appearance. Well, the Carla case was solved due to surveillance camera at the carwash.

Do you think possible that the killer or killers of Somer may have used a carwash to clean up the evidence at a carwash with a surveillance camera?

Also, do we know for a fact that Somer was at School all day and walked home with her siblings? Could it be possible that a parent or someone with permission picked up her from school since she was not feeling well? Did police state that the first crossing guard indeed saw Somer, or maybe a kid that looks little her?

My reason for the curiosity is that one of the posters stated to look at the police report. I've been reading another web forum by one of the Jacksonville news where one of the posters was also a searcher on Monday in Somer’s neighborhood, but believer the killer maybe some that Somer knows well. They claim to have photos of the scene taken from that night that shows the image from the scene and pictures of some other searchers

Here's a spinntt of that person post:
someone special 1 hour ago
it was no predator, it was someone she knew and someone she knew very well.. i can't wait until this all unfolds.. i think this nation is going to be totally shocked, and i will leave it at that!!

Thank y'all

Nope, IMO, we need more research here...

Trash pick-up in my area is done with a mechanical "claw", it doesn't care how much it weighs, but it must be in the bin, they do NOT pick up bags sat down next to the bag.
