a clerk at a store in orange park said there was a man living in his van that was seen in front of this store the morning somer went missing, watching kids walking to school. The clerk didn't see the man for several days until a couple of days ago. She was shown a picture of RSO JR Hall & she said it looks like the man she's talking about, but with red hair & no beard.

Wonder if this pic might look more like him now, 'sept, shaven and red headed?

James Rabun Hall is who you reported, right? Looking up his prior arrests, he has 10 or so from early 2000s for DUI, possession, DWI, open container, etc. It would make sense if he was attending AA lately.

He also had 3 attempted sexual battery of a child under 12 charges filed, assaults dating from 1989 to 1992. The docket includes "subpoena of witness" so the child might not have wanted to testify.

http://clayclerk.com/OdysseyPA/CaseDetail.aspx?CaseID=1038917

WAIT: in 2002 the court received a letter from doctor recommending he stay under supervision. Then he was arrested for probation violation and ordered to attend AA twice a week.

Violated probation again in 2003... and in 2006 request for documents from SA in Ocala, FL. [now off to Ocala county clerk...]

ETA: Hall used to live at 2095 Carnes ST in Orange Park. A on this map is his old house.

dsntslp (I think) was looking into Homer and the more I look at him and dig, the worse he looks. He's listed as absconded since 2006, and labeled as a predator.
He's scum. :croc:

ITA How does one get "misidentified"? in an official police report?

I don't think they do... I think it's an excuse of an "oops, we f'd up" ...

Not that I think LE messed up because I know they probably wouldn't call in everyone that was present before writing them down on a police report. BUT I know that we aren't stupid & I know they aren't pulling the wool over my eyes on it.

BTW... Anyone have any chocolate? I'm dying for a milky way or snickers :D hook a sista up!

Both of these pics are RSO Hall. One from FDLE and one from family watchdog.

Okay I think I was the one to draw a connection between this guy and Lyons. I can see from the top picture and the picture of Lyons they do not have the same mouth. Sorry if I got everyone off on a goose chase. I still think Lyons is someone to look at. Even without the RSO standing.

Why wait till tomorrow. I will go now and send the tip in to go talk to the clerk at this station she may know something!

I already did it - no need.

OK guys - sorry - my husband & I went up to the gas station & showed the clerk the picture. She said it looks like the guy she was talking about, but his hair is red and he has shaved the beard. I have notified the LE with the information... so we shall see if anything pans out.

There's just something so amazing about those little chihuahuas...
Seriously, thanks, Cheewawa. You know, we're members of our Citizen's Police Academy Alumni Association down here, and they tell us that so often the information needed to solve a crime is out there, they just need people to realize it.
You and your hubby went that extra mile, and I thank you.

It was not James Hall who was spotted at AA meeting by a WS poster. It was Michael Lyons who was identified by police activity and a fellow poster recognized him as Lyons. The clerk should be shown the pic of Lyons

oh wait, I only posted to ask if that was him. (I think. :waitasec:)

Did Greenstreet ever answer my question asking if that pix was him - from AA?

no he didn't .. he isn't logged on ..

I am so lost because I was away for a few hours....not even going to try to catch up. I can' t tell what is even going on or who the majority of people think committed this crime. Sounds like you all are still sleuthing RSOs but I can't tell who is who, by now I have forgotten their names, Maybe I will just start over tomorrow..maybe then an arrest will have been made. Good night all.

Not doing anything more than everyone else on this board would have done...justice for Somer.
