It would have to be someone along that route to know that and be able to grab her on the day she did it.

oh for pity's sake!

heaven forbid my buxom cousin's son ever be murderlized and in her overwhelming grief and fear should she be caught wearing here typical cleavage-peeking daywear and chew her cigarette-defense gum while she begged uncontrollably for her beloved child to be returned to her, and someone find her loser brother's myspace full of his low-self-esteem immature testosterone driven undereducated nonsense and decide he probably killed his nephew because, after all, his sister, my cousin dresses like a hoochie from lon goyland.

IMO

Oh geez Emma, your post is so reminiscent of a poster we had at another forum. Miss her dearly for her wit and words......

Do you live in Alaska?

This is a gap and I might propose that mother called the son on her way via cell - of couse the cell records would comfirm any communication in the time frame. Or maybe she just went there and found him to help look for Somer. I wish we could interview DT to get some answers from her. Maybe I've had too much chocolate tonight.

One can never have too much chocolate (as I stuff another Orange M&M Halloween Peanut in my mouth)!!:innocent:

Paul C. is the bio father of AC, Somer's 13 yo brother.

AT, ST and Somer are the bio children of Samuel Thompson. I have not run DNA tests on the children, this is based on information posted here.

For anyone who wants to create a siggy with a link to something ... you are limited to 1000 characters, including the text that makes up the code.

Lesson 1 :)

1. In another tab, open the page you want to link to.
2. In WS, on top right, click on Quick Links and right-click on Edit Signature and choose "open in another tab" ... I do this so I can keep the thread open while I'm editing my siggy ... it's personal choice, you could left-click.
3. Type the text you want to describe your link (My MPR Summary).
4. Format it ... I made size 2, and varied the colors so it was easier to distinguish them (I have bad eyes).
5. Go to the page that you want to link to and copy the text from the address bar (if it's long you can make it small at tinyurl.com first).
6. Drag through the text you created and click on the link icon (third from right -- globe w chain link)
7. Paste (Ctrl + V) into the window bar
8. Click OK
9. Scroll down and click Save Signature (or whatever it says LOL)

:) Lesson 2
How to make a lllooonnnngggg thread short

So you've got a link you want to share with the group and it's way too long ...
1. Open http://tinyurl.com/ in another tab.
2. Go back to the page with the long link and copy it from address bar.
3. At tinyurl, paste your link into the appropriate place.
4. Click MAKE TINY URL.
5. Copy your tiny url http://tinyurl.com/yk88bos
6. Paste it into post or, if making link with text, using the Internet link icon.

Hope those work ... LOL

Predators are very skilled hunters.

earlier someone mention about dogs in the area.

I wonder if Somer seem a dog or puppy or kitten. sex offender favorite...
Props( I could think of another word)

I was thinking that also. It is Fall and time for ball practice and games. Also, kids his age sometimes just hang out at the park/ ball fields with other kids.

OT: OMG, the Fox World Series announcer just said to put those peanut M&Ms away. How can he see in my living room??

Yes they are. And from what I have read the little LE has released leads me to think this one is going to keep going, and smartblonde posted some other cases she thinks this perp was involved in. Very unsettleing.

It has been my experience that whenever someone gives extreme details about one thing and little details about another (which they have equal knowledge of) it means either they are trying to distract attention away from the subject they have given little details about OR the subject that has many details provided is a lie/contains a lie.
It is usually the latter. So whenever I see anyone providing minute details about a subject I ask why, what is the motivation to be so detailed about this? To try to add credence to something that is false, or to distract from something else.

In the initial report there are minute details and then there are general details. Is this the work of whoever is being interviewed or is it the work of the investigating officer. Someone has a reason to list details the way they are listed but right now I just can't be sure if it's mom, or the officer who is slanting our view.

I saw the pics and I saw a bunch of drunk adults (no children) @ a Halloween party just having a good time, I don't think this has anything to do with Somer being murdered, just don't see the connection..........:banghead:
How do you know where the children were?
If the pics end up on the front page of the tabloids, guess that will be fine material for the children to see at the grocery store, or for great reading when they get older and start sleuthing on their own.

SP happen to be in the pics as well, and low and behold of all days for Somer to go missing he was there to babysit. Ironic. Of course he had no way of knowing Somer would wander off that day, but who else did SP have over when DT went back to work? Was someone an unknown RSO in their circle of friends and knew a lot about Somer's habit of wandering off?
Did someone they know lurk around and it wouldn't be unusal to see him in the neighborhood-- fit in with someone they all knew?

AND the onlinepotsociety tells me she smokes pot, and the pics tells me she likes to drink beer-- high and drinking = poor judgement around children.

okay, I missed any convo regarding the interest in the tanks. Would anyone post a quick explanation of their interest/possible involvement in the case.

I know they are there, in the neighborhood, but I don't know what kind of tanks and why they may have been sleuthed in the first place.

are they open? are they unsecured? can you party in them?

if anyone is so inclined, please give us a briefing on "what up with those things"?

tia!

The tanks are located on Gano St. just before Somer would reach the vacant house on her way from school. A young boy said he saw Somer running around the tanks with a frown on her face the afternoon she disappeared. The tanks are big enclosed units...I think propane tanks. If you google 1080 Gano and back up just a hair, you'll see them. That's all I know.

The issus of possible injuries on the perp, via Sheriff, would seem to exclude the older brother, since such injuries would have clearly been seen by LE that afternoon and evening.

My hope is if it was to be my child, (which it wasn't, there all older now) I would have made it extra extra hard for the sick sob to get at him/her.

I'm sure John Walsh, Marc Klass, Erin Runnion, Jerry and Patty Wetterling, and Colleen Nick, just to name a few, will appreciate knowing they didn't give their children that extra, extra care.

We all would like to think we have such control.....we do not....they did not.....

Very interesting, what are you refering to?

BBM & back-atcha with that question, rhetorically speaking.

<snipped> Not saying this is her fault, but in her situation you need to be more vigilant. Heck, in this day and age EVERYONE has to be vigilant.

I don't want to hijack Somer's thread but something happened last night that makes this simple statement scream at me.

My sister and I were in Wal-mart. There was a lost 4 - 5 year old little girl in the store. Of course the store made "we have a lost child at the customer service desk" announcement several time in both English and Spanish. Mangement had to call the police finally. (lots of people in the store were talking about it and getting really angry that the parents hadn't shown up.) When we left still no parents. I had to run back there tonight for dog food and I asked one of the employees that had been there and she told me that her parents had shown up 3 hours later. The police were just getting ready to take the little girl to Child Protective Services.

Their excuse. .they have seven kids and its hard to keep up with all of them. :furious: They had left the store and gone to 2 other places (including for hamburgers) and then realise that this little angel wasn't with them?!??! This girl had older brothers and sisters. How could one of them not know that she was missing? How is that even possible?. . .Sigh.

Ahhhhh, thank you.

I did not know that a young boy witnessed her there. Is that considered the last-known sighting? Or is it considered possible, but unreliable due to the age of the witness?

It could be an error on the police report - the male juvenile listed above Diena'a name at the top of the police report might actually be the older sister and the section checked "male" might be a mistake.

The reason I'm questioning how the older brother was contacted is because Diena has been communicative regarding how she contacted SP by text message, contacted her BF by phone, but no mention of how oldest son was contacted, if at all. It's just a blank. He was just there. Neither LE or media has asked the question of who told him (and how he was told) to go there and look. But info on how every other family member/friend was contacted and told to go look is on the police report. The point I'm trying to make is - if every other person involved in the initial search is included on the police report regarding how they were contacted and when, why not the oldest son? Why is that omitted on the report, when Diena herself (in the blacked-out video) says he was there looking. I know we don't have the answer. But that's the very reason we need to be asking.
