was thinking of something today....thinking of soot...could they have been mistaken and maybe it was some kind of copier ink dust?? just thinking in this little box of mine...

I asked this yesterday -- toner.

I was in charge of the printers in my office and really wasn't all that good at it. Always ended up with toner on me. Forensics would tell.

No septic tanks-city sewer.
Cam-do you know what the large propane tanks at Gano/Solomon are used for/hooked up to? Curious-you'd think they would have natural gas lines for the residents. Are the tanks for a business?
TIA
I do not know....

So it looks like to me we can talk and post about RSO's and map them when we have a child missing.

So if child found we can't post or talk about them ??

Are you sure that is a slide?

It looks like a wheelbarrow tipped up ... then I thought tub but too small ... and then I thought sink.

Looking again.

Anybody ever find out the cause of the fire at 1080 Gano?
TIA

Does anyone know what the cause was? (sorry for repeating the question)
Maybe it was arson as a cover up evidence?

I know I was thinking as well if Somer had soot on her body, if that is what led them to that house right away ? I was thinking that she could have been placed in a outside fire pit, bbq area as well until she could be moved ...

Found the article!
http://www.examiner.com/x-26504-Atl...ssing-7-year-old-Florida-child-Somer-Thompson

"MR, 17, who has babysat Somer in the past said that she was head strong and contradicted the mother by saying that it was not anything new for Somer to run ahead of her siblings on the way home from school and that she would take anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour to make her way home; and that her mother had a list of phones numbers for her friends and would start calling the friends if she took too long to get home. The baby sitter said she never knew where Somer ran to, but she loved tree houses and swimming pools. Many times Somer would get upset as she felt the other kids picked on her and she would run away."

I know about this because I initially posted the article about 14 threads ago, and we've been discussing it on and off ever since.

In fact, there have been many articles members have posted that we've already gone over time and again.

We need new information.

Thank you for all those pictures but I need to look again to see if I see a slide.

About the fence around the tanks ... Does it just go around the tanks themselves? Could she have hidden behind the tanks (outside the fence -- don't think she was going to climb a fence with barbed wire on top) until she saw sister and brother and then exited out the other side so they didn't see her?

Here is Tricia's post: We Can Bring Sex Offender Information 2 Websleuths 4 Discussion.Questions about rules - Websleuths Crime Sleuthing Community
(bolding mine)

From seeing the photo of the tanks, yes, I think that's entirely possible! The photo really gives a good perspective also of the size of the tanks, as well as the wooded area around them. MOO

At the risk of sounding stupid, I have to ask - why is there so much focus on the tanks and the field? What did I miss? Is it more likely she went across the street to the tanks than to the house? :waitasec: TIA

House and tanks are on the same side, one little boy said he saw her by the tanks frowning.

She was seen around the tanks, and imo, was hiding from the group of kids until they passed by.

Well that's pretty stupid of me - here all along I thought they were on the other side of the street. :blushing:

No, not the back, the front...and I would say it is at least a foot wide there...do not know exactly tho

You're a pretty good judge of distance :)

That appears to be a standard 10 foot, drive through gate with (2) 5 foot halves (gates). When you gauge out the opening between the chain link gate and the wood fence, it measures exactly 1/5 of the gate itself, making it pretty much perfectly one foot wide.

Are there any suspects yet?

I left her questions... I don't want a t/o ... I should never have posted that obit today.. I feel just terrible.... I see so many corrections in posts in last thread and feel so bad for the mods.. that is a lot of work to read every post to find mistakes... I deleted my post after I reread it ... but damage was done and I am usually really careful at what I post..

A lot of the time it is important to go over old information, as new ideas may come out of it. Also until we get more information to go on, it's what we do.
It also can help people who may have just jumped on the thread. =)
My apologies for not giving you the credit for first posting the article. I read it in the first thread when this case broke originally and was replying in answer to someone's question.
