I live outside the capital. Polson is very beautiful area.

I wonder if that poster was the woman who didn't want to be identified. Or did it occur to a lot of people to look in their garbage? If someone told me one of my neighbor kids was lost, I don't think I'd check my garbage can. But maybe I'd check everywhere, now that I have this.

Human, it sure would help to have a timeline of all these events. Not that members here haven't tried ... it's just guesswork rather than evidence from LE.

I wonder how long Kyle and crew were there after Somer came up to them. It's hard to picture the chain of events without key information.

Maybe if I go away for a couple of days, LE will release some information. I'm willing to give it a shot.

Why LE hasn't told the Public what time the work ceased @ Gano that day, puzzles me, just throw us a little bone. I am still pondering the young boys comment about Somer having a frown on her face. Did Somer frown a lot, basically was Somer a hard child to handle? Maybe DT could not get steady sitters because of this, it would be a huge responsibility to mind a child that wondered off, especially if the sitter was 17 yrs old. JMO

I agree completely. Wouldn't it help to get more accurate info from the public if they gave out the time line as they know it? It seems they are expending hours and hours of time taking down hundreds of useless tips being called in that could be considerably reduced if they just gave the public some accurate boundaries. I don't get it at all. They don't have to give us any names. Just give us some basic framework. Was it a sexual offense? What approx. time was Somer at the tanks? What approx. time was she at the vacant house if she was there at all? What direction did she go when she left the vacant house? Was she seen at the park?

I think it would be in DT's best interest to come forward and tell the Public exactly what kind of personality Somer had, not the "indigo" version, just straight up basic stuff one that layman such as myself can understand. The 17 yrold sitter said Somer liked pools and tree forts, well, did she just meander over to anyone's pool by herself? Same goes for the tree forts.

Couldn't agree more, load your guns, keep it by your side, there is a killer out there as per Sheriff B stated . Look out for anyone who has shaved their head, missed work , has their car covered is so generic, they could be looking for a Bank Robber and yet LE needs our help, I think they either have a POI or they are at a loss.

I hate to say this, don't even want to think it, but you're right, cath. If LE knew something to give out, they'd be giving it out. Right now they're grasping at straws and taking any bone that's tossed their way, IMO.
I'm afraid our good luck has run out, and desperation is taking its place.
Who knows? One of those thousands of tips may very well solve this case-or more likely, one of our kids may be reading WS sometime 22 years from now and have something click...
I'm thinking Orange Park LE doesn't want the public to know how little they have.

Mom D. has already come out and said Somer never met a stranger - Somer loved kitty cats and puppy dogs - fuzzy and warm personality - not sure what it is you want to hear and why. I'm sure if Somer was a 'special needs' child in special classes - LE would know that. What kind of information are you thinking about? TIA

I really think this is one of the strangest cases I've ever followed as far as info sharing is concerned. There are so many strange issues that have cropped up. From the very beginning when I first heard about it on tv and they were talking about Somer missing, and they talked about the incident of the attempted abduction 10 days before. I immediately thought...well, there it is...that's what happened. The same people took Somer. But wasn't that the 1st press conference that LE said they didn't think there was any connection? That's before they had found Somer and before anyone said anything about the crazy undercover cop story. What is up with that??? That makes absolutely no sense. So what did they know then, before she was even found, that made them think that an attempted abduction would not be relevant to Somer being missing?? When exactly did the undercover cop story come about? Does anyone know exactly when that happened?? There are just so many strange puzzle pieces with this case.

This probably sounds crazy, but Diena thought it was odd that after she flagged down the cop they ended up at OCAA. Then there was mistaken report of attempted abduction that supposedly was an off duty cop trying to help a child. Could D. suspect a cop?

By no means I am out for DT's neck. I just want to know if Somer had a habit and I mean habit of wandering off on her own. Did they have a regular Sitter after school? (was she sick that day therefore SP sat), could they not afford a sitter and therefore the 10 yr old Sis was suppose to care for them and therefore DT didn't want to disclose this as she was afraid of Family Services.

Oh my, what you just said gave me chills. Could that be why there is so little information? I hate to say this but my hubby generally only half listens to the news and the day he heard them say something about one of LE suggesting they follow the trucks to the dump, and then later found the body, his hinky meter went off. Again, so many strange puzzle pieces :(

Does this mean half the money goes toward the reward fund and half the money goes to the family?
If I were the family, I would want the entire amt. to go toward the reward. Why so much fundraising for the family??

Well, I sure have...but I've had several theories. The cop though...was my very first theory. I even tracked down his name to make sure he wasn't the same cop that followed the trash trucks...lol...nope, not the same guy.

Somer has a 13yo brother, where I come from 13yo's babysit. I'm sorry, but I fail to see why the inability to afford a babysitter would translate to a 7yo being murdered and thrown in the trash.

Single moms everywhere are vulnerable as a target for all kinds of crimes. So far there has been NO evidence that mom D was negligent in caring for her children...and to insinuate there was NObody to help care for a sick child is ludicrous. And to insinuate mom D. sent a sick child to school to avoid DFS is even more ridiculous speculation. What's your need to trash mom? How about accusing with facts????????

It's called living expenses - it's called therapy for the siblings who lost their loved one...it's called putting food on the table and keeping a roof over the head of your family - and most important: it's doing what those who do the fund-raising WANT!
