New Clues Released In Somer Thompson Case
Detectives Release Renderings Of 2 Items

http://www.wesh.com/news/21554258/detail.html

I read the comments that people on this article. It was commented that AMW was replaced by a ball game. It this was info the police felt was valuable, why didn't they release it when AMW was no shown?

If this really is considered important, then what the heck!!!

I really hate to say this ... But we are dealing with a really sick monster here, who ever did this to Somer..

What if the killer had seen her Book Tote and he/she had the same kind of TATTOO ........ ???? The skull cross bones and connected that way with Somer.??? just started a conversation with her and got her relaxed and went from there..

I too feel it was someone Somer has seen on regular basis or off and on regularly.. might not have known them just seen them in passing and maybe all the kids said hi at sometime or other walking home...

Heck someone driving daily same route could of waved at the kids.. I stated this about the rso living way down gano ave.. he could of drove to park or elem. school daily or regular just to watch the kids.. the LE and doctors are told this by the perps.. they like to watch the kids.

so now does any one remember what tats the rso's we looked at have??

I feel the burned house on gano ave. was being painted outside ... in pics cam took it is uneven in color.. I looked on google maps and at street view back then there was a garage door there in front of the metal gate,, now there is a window and NO garage door.. the weather was fairly nice and proabably thought best get done outside work while waiting for something in side to come in or worker to get started on inside ....

I would think the metal gate would be open if worker there,, so that says to me welcome come on up .. if regular worker then knows what time school is out ..

I feel it was someone she knew and during the weekend this sicko had fantasies in his sick mind and Monday carried them out.. being a monday really makes me think this..

I could be so wrong on all this. which is not unusual for me.. I am wrong a lot...

I only see one comment and nothing about a ball game..

I do agree tho.. 2 weeks in a row it was not shown cause of ball games..

Info should of been put out as breaking news ... on local media...

I am just a little girl with a very special task;
I need to talk to Mama 'cause I've questions to ask.
I hope that you can hear me, I seem so very far away,
so Mama, listen closely, there is so much to say.

I miss you oh so very much, we didn't get to say goodbye,
and it hurts me oh so deeply everytime I hear you cry.
Mama, I am not lonely, there are so many angels near,
and lots of kids to play with as I get used to being here.

Mama, please don't worry, there is no danger anymore,
there is only love & hope & kindness up here at heaven's door.
I cannot hate the man who hurt me, God asked me to forgive,
it's not easy but I'm trying, I wanted so very much to live.

Mama, I watch you everyday, I know you see me too
and you know if I could find a way, I'd hurry home to you.
Someday, somehow, some way, dear Mama, though I've no idea when,
you'll be with me in heaven, and I'll be your little girl again.

As I was trying to fall asleep last night, I thought about the missing book bag and lunch box and I believe, as many of you do, that Somer's killer more than likely was/is someone she knew or was at least familiar enough with to go with willingly.
Did the person pull up in a car to where she was walking and offer her a ride?
Was the killer lurking at the playground across the street from the Gano house, and seized the opportunity when it presented itself?
Statistics show that child predators seek out situations that give them easy access to their victims - in occupations that involve children, in locations where children are commonly found, and through friends that have children.
IMO a playground would be a logical place for a predator to lie in wait for an unaccompanied child.
Following the walking route of children on their way to/from school is also a logical place for a predator to "hunt" for a victim, especially if no one else is nearby.
The fact that her bags are still missing indicates she still had them with her when she was taken, but that they were disposed of in another location, since LE searched the garbage as it was being dumped at the landfill. They continued searching the garbage even after they found her body in the hopes of pinpointing the location the garbage came from. If the bags had been disposed of with her, they would have found them, wouldn't they?

Is it possible the book bag & lunch box was personalized for her instead of having that design on them when they were bought .

Do you mean like a iron - on decal on book tote JSV?? and someone painted on the lunch box?? that sort of personalized ??

the lunch box would be plastic so would have to be a paint I would think..

It is possible.. very possible.. mother, neighbor , friend, grand parent could of done this for Somer...

Wish the mother would or LE would have presser and answer to the all misinformation put out.. These are very important facts...

Kewpiedoll, I just looked at your link-purposely glanced at it and then looked away-not to excuse my error of last night, but w/the split seconds that the items were shown on AMW, and w/the bow on top of the skull, it STILL looked like ears to me, and almost like the Hello Kitty I thought it was.
SO-makes me sort of think that this was a knock-off, an off brand of some sort.
I still wonder who would put a skull and crossbones on a little girl's book bag. Makes me wince.

I believe what Somer's dad said about soot. I don't think he was to release that information....I was a little taken back when he answers some of the questions on NG.

bbm

Soot from? already in trash can/dumpster/truck/landfill? Very possible imo

There's a mall store here where I live that sells a lot of garments and accessories with skulls and hearts - my youngest daughter refers to them as "Emo" style (as in "emotional", not the Sesame Street puppet). The "girly skull" designs are very popular with the middle school girls.

I'll take a peek at their website to see if they have any items similar to Somer's.

I know doggies... but it is very popular.. make it pink so its all dolled up for little girls.. I see the skull and cross bones on so many items in the store.. heck I went to get my little doggies new winter sweaters this week-end and guess what was on them??? yep.. skull and cross bones.. for boy doggies it was in gray and black.. for my little girl doggie it was in fall multi color...

I don't know if the goth look started this popular fad or whom.. but it is all over on everything...

oh gosh I forgot about emo... I would rather be around a goth person than an emo .. they have big big huge problems.. sometimes I just wonder if its an act.. I have watched these emo people on a live stream site like they do their own shows like ustream type stuff and they are weird.. put razor blades in their mouth,,, threaten suicide ,,, all they talk about is they want to die.. they are messed up..

sbm

Perp burned the items? May=soot? Or hid them to dispose later cos if seen in
garbage it would lead to victim.

OK. Obviously I'm out of the loop. With 13 grandkids from 19 to <1, you wouldn't think that was possible, but this is one trend I've missed, and you know what? I'm really not sorry. :)
I'm telling my doggies, "Just say no." :)
