I live in a different time zone than many of you, so by the time I finally get the chance to log in and post comments, most of you have already gone to bed!

MommaD - do you suppose this attorney may have been hired by the family to protect Diena's and her kids' interests? I don't know anything about trust account laws, or foundations and how they have to operated, but I'm sure it's tricky in terms of how the money is disbursed, to whom it's disbursed, etc., in order to avoid getting a knock on the door from the IRS or some other governing agency (and after everything Diena's been through, that's the last thing she needs). Even though the money has been donated, it might still be regarded as income by the IRS, and taxes might have to be paid on it. Perhaps this attorney has been hired to help Diena with all the legal ins and outs regarding how to access it and how it can legally be spent in the care of her children. I heard she has quit her job, so all the money donated is what this family will be living on, until Diena is able to return to work at some point in the future.
FWIW - I looked up the attorney's peer review ratings, and he gets high marks in terms of his ethics.
After everything this family has been through, I truly hope he's there to help, and won't take advantage of the situation.

Nevertheless, I totally agree with you about justice for the victims. I think LE being so tight-lipped about certain info has hindered this case, not helped. Like waiting so long - 3 weeks - to release images of Somer's book bag and lunch box. Not to mention all the misinformation about it to begin with! Cases go cold for a reason. I truly hope this one doesn't. I truly hope LE haven't made mistakes in their investigation and dissemination of information that could jeopardize solving this crime.

you have stated perfectly about the lawyer.. But I was just hoping for once a family having a terrible tragedy in their family for once would speak out to the media about the victim more.. surely someone has told them all the wrong information is being twisted and told to public ..

That is what I was asking. reconfirm the info put out already... just to keep it out there in media..

I know its hard on them but why go on national tv to give donation information but can't help to find who did this monsterous (I know that is not a word but I made it up) crime to Somer...

Shannon is the baby they just found alive the babysitter had. mom and babysitter made plans to do this crime. both are in jail. in florida

She may be traveling with Nathan Butler, a 39-year-old black man, who is 6 feet tall, weighs 200 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

However, I don't recall ever hearing he had a brother in a nursing home until the last couple days. I did a background and criminal check on everyone in his family and no brother in a nursing home ever showed up. How did you come across that info so long ago? Honest, I wasn't aware of it and I have followed this case since comment #1 thread 1.

Well, let me see here. Cam and I was digging and getting pretty deep information started when BSO1969?? is that his name?? came around saying most of us were going wrong direction..

Then we had Greenstreet come and during another digging session saying something to get it stopped and headed another direction but then gs got it going in same direction on FA thread..

So to tell the truth now eyes4crime I don't even remember..

But I do know a lot of the members working on it left .... moved on I guess to do whatever..

I don't think the nursing home part was part of it. we didn't get that far.. but the house his mom etc we did..

I don't need to go that far after seeing the obits of his mother , Debbie, his father... WLK was under a lot of stress knowing he would be losing Debbie and his living arrangements I am sure..

I could place him in the area of Somer's school easy back when looked him up 1st day of her reported missing..

True about WK - but when Somer first went missing, I didn't know D was sick. Once she passed away, logically he had a trigger to re-offend. I don't read the Astro threads cause I can't make sense of what they are saying and I have no idea who Greenstreet is and BSO??, I consider to be a troll and never gave that person a second thought. Here's why: she/he nose dived into the Somer threads with mysterious lingo and all kinds of riddles...claiming to be an expert in reading people. If a person does that, I would think the info left behind would at least be accurate and it was not. BSO said if tears can be dried by medication the speech would also be affected...NOT true. So, imo, BSO is a fraud.

For me, the possible nursing home visits make it all possible - sure he lived there before DR died, but the NH gives him a good reason to be there after moving out. A disclaimer is that I think he is the murderer and so I look for the info to support that idea. lol Unable to sleep most of the night and enjoyed chatting with you. hope you have a good day mamaD.

yes the nursing home could give him reason to be there in area that day.. but also wouldn't have to have nursing home as an excuse..

he missed DR and visited park on gano ave. and school area to feel closer to her.. having living memories of familiar surroundings of her..

I am sure he was at park and schools before she past.. just to watch children in these areas...

made me sick on night on this tv show a while back how offenders told in shadow that they would watch children at parks and schools..

it was so sick and scary .. but glad I heard it from their own mouths.. not just on paper from doctors..

I've been lurking (again), although following this case...

LE has apparently decided to solve this case w/o the public's help. While they've released some info, it's been minimal and IMO perhaps not accurate.

1. What was the cause of death? Should the public definitely be looking for RSO, a neighbor, a family member, a friend?

2. Where did DT purchase the book bag/etc? Certainly, a PLACE would help sleuthers to identify what the bag and lunch box accuratly looked like. Why wasn't the info about the bag/etc released earlier?

3. Does LE suspect the Gano address? Do they suspect a car was involved?

It appears to me that LE could use the public's help, so why are they leaving the public out of the loop on info? Help us to help you, LE.

Thank you for this extensive list. I ran across a missing boy 5 yr old Aaron Campbell from 12547 Westhope dr. Orange County, FL. He went missing on Oct 8th, 2006. I can't find anything on him. He is autistic and can't speak reminds me of Adij (sp ?) Mother claims she left him in the car and when she returned he was gone. I only found a short blurb about him on the Monkey site. TIA

I can't believe any school district in America has not heard of Somer, Elizabeth and others just walking home and getting snatched or lured away!!!!

I have an elementary school at the end of my street. I would happily volunteer to watch over the kids I see walking from 1/2 mile alone, past my house towards the school everyday.

We too, are in a semi-rural area, houses are spread far apart. We also have a bunch of SO's within easy walking distance of this K-6 school.

Today's banner, a huge one.... in bright red and green colors said...

"Walking Home from School, is COOL" :furious:

This Green stuff has gone over the top... sure save the buses a few gallons of gas...but at the cost of a child's LIFE!!!

I'm sure they're are tons of parents who blew a gasket at seeing THAT!

So I am going to dredge up all the News stories and include the SO maps from the area surrounding this school.

Then I am marching in there... straight to the Principal's office asking what in the WORLD is wrong with you people???

Good. Do they claim that it's a Green effort? Sounds more like an effort by the school district to save money by reducing the number of kids on the bus.

And it's really low, if it's a Green effort, to appeal to a small child's need to be "cool" rather than making a rational appeal to the parents themselves based on environmental impact. Educators shouldn't be telling kids that they need to do anything to be "cool" IMO. What kind of values are those?

My nursing home contacts tell me some nursing homes don't require guests to sign in. However if you're going to take a patient from the nursing home out of the facility for lunch, etc., then you would sign in & out.

I have been following all of this as a lurker. This is my first post and Im affraid I wont follow the rules. It seems alot of you have moved on. I thought we had him when WLK was arrested. This is still a possibility? I honestly dont understand about all the money that has been raised for the family. The money should go to the kids. DT is not as poor as she appears. Her live in makes good money according to his ms page. I realize she did not get child support from ST, but that is due to the long time it takes to get disability. ST was approved before Somer was murdered and she should have received all the back pay on all the kids by now. Also, I dont understand how two people who cared enough to make three children together cannot get along during a time like this. My ex and I are not close but I would never let the police give him this horrible news. I saw lil ST reach for his father. DT's live in snatched him away. I saw AT enter the church, sit across the isle from ST.. he said he loved her and held his arms open. AT looked terrified, and said I cant, mom told me not to. ST is a disabled veteran in a wheelchair. I too feel empathy for DT for this horrible loss. But I also think DT cares more about herself and hurting him than she does for the welfare of her children. THIS BEE MY OPINION ONLY. Meets a 28 yr old for lunch? In Jax from park st to op? IMO that is a quickie for lunch or to pick up something. He is still there waiting for kids 2 get home? Was he waiting for kids or for DT to get home and pay for whatever was picked up at lunch? he is not her bf. that is another man. and I have never heard why there is an RSO was on the police report. How many men who are not related to these children hang at that house? NO one imo would/should let a 10yrold walk two 7 yrs olds home from school. Everyone is acting like poor DT had no money to provide supervision for her kids. I call bs. Most of us have been there, yet we figured out ways to do it. Putting this responsibilty on AT will affect her the rest of her life, and she should have never had that responsibility to begin with. Lets get real.... a single woman who is trying to make a new relationship work, works daily and has friends of her bf, her bf, and othe rmen hanging at the house partying puts her children in terrible danger... odds of being molested increase with every stranger that is in their lives, especially if mom passes out from drugs and alcohol. I am not saying this is DT's lifestyle. DT stated on GMA yesterday that "she just hopes Somer knew she loved her". Maybe its just me. but I have never questioned if my children knew I loved them. Also, this is a nice house with a pool. The important thing now is finding this , and ST and AT. Who thinks the perp is WLK? Makes sense to me. one of the workers trucks who is NOW doing work at the gano home is licensed to a building right down miller street just south of kingsley from Somers school......the path they would take from work to gano would be the perfect opportunity to notice Somer fighting and or run off from her group and then turn on Gano to the job site and swoop her up.......

.... reason this freaks me out is because so many different workers work on a property and are unaware of eachother or eachothers start times, that one could have been on the way to the house but not all the way and swooped her and the others would not even know, nor would LE as this worker could prove he did not work the gano house that day and worked on another home......

........ and I would think LE is interviewing who WAS there that dreadful day.....kwim

This is bothering me too MommaD. Since when did missing/murdered children become a “business”? I don’t understand why the parents of these children are getting lawyers and setting up websites with very large DONATE buttons on them. IMO this has become a very dangerous precedent.

In this case, it’s not even about finding the missing child. Unfortunately that has been done. But that should have been a huge catalyst in helping this family to continue on and, with the help of counselling, return to as “normal” a life as possible. I don’t think it’s of any help to the remaining children for their mother to quit her job, live off of donations, and go on TV discussing the case and her website. To do this means to relive the horror of what happened every day. I know they don’t want people to forget about Somer but it’s unlikely that anyone will. I can remember every local missing/murdered child from my area for at least the past 20 years and so do most of the people I talk to if their name is mentioned in regards to another case. Since the child is no longer missing, I would think that at this point it’s up to LE to do their job and keep this case in the public conscience. I just don’t think living off donations, quitting your job, and living this nightmare every day is very healthy for the family. I can perfectly understand taking a leave from your job to help deal with getting things in order and making arrangements for proper after school daycare for your children but sitting around at home with nothing but her thoughts in between TV interviews can’t be good for Diena either. She needs to get on with her life to and to trust that LE are not going to drop the ball on this case and they are going to do everything in their power to find this killer and bring justice for Somer.
